I have yet to try the Headband but, after reading a bit on the strain, I sure would like to, I can't give you first hand experience,, but here is a list of some of it's medical uses.. It is a strain I am going to check into...Deb

  • Classification: Indica-dominant
  • Growing Environment: Indoor/Outdoor
  • Garden Skills: Intermediate
  • Flowering Time: 9 - 10 weeks
  • THC Content: High
  • Yield: High
  • Medical Uses: Depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, nausea, migraines, pain relief, muscle spasms
  • Breeder: Reserva Privada

Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: The taste is very Kushy and piney, with an added sour chemical flavor on the exhale. Very stoney high that has both sativa and Indica qualities.

This marvelous strain is preceded by the legendary OG Kush, powerful Master Kush and classic Sour Diesel. The name Headband likely comes from the fact that some patients have reported a slight pressure around there head, very much as if they were wearing a headband. As an Indica-dominant hybrid, this strain covers a wide variety of symptoms and ailments, and is a favorite strain in dispensaries all over. Headband offers a strong but not overpowering body high, with noticeable cerebral stimulation coming on slowly but surely. The buds range from medium to dark-green with short orange pistils all over. They emit a piney, danky, woodsy aroma that changes to a sour, danky, musky odor when smoked.

Headband vegetates at an incredibly rapid rate and when properly cared for, produces a lush canopy. She also yields a decent amount and is not picky about food or nutrients

This one-of-a-kind strain tastes, sour, Kushy, and danky, with a hint of gas.

This medication is recommended for anxiety, migraines, minor pains, muscle spasms, and eating disorders

I know there's a database at the top of the thread but from 2008. So, I'm asking for recommendations for a very good-excellent anti-anxiety medicine. My wife has multiple medical conditions but we don't have a specific strain for anxiety.

Thanks

Shoot for something along the lines of an Indici dom. hybrid. Pure Sativa's can be racy. Try here... http://en.seedfinder...atric_Symptoms/

Thats one handy link, and now see you can even look by "condition/symptoms" which is handy but sampling tells the full story no?

Thanks KD!

It would be even better if we had something online where we could enter either

  1. A given strain, or
  2. A general symptom (pain, nausea) or condition (MS, cancer)

The strain search would return the strain (if present in the database), with data concerning that strain - height, preferred growing conditions (indoor/outdoor, etc), the conditions that strain can help with, etc.

The symptom search would return a list of strains that are helpful for that condition or symptom.  The strain list would be clickable, and send the user to the result of the strain search listed above.

Is this something that we could do here on GP?  If so, I'd be willing to help design and implement the database.  Let me know!

The problem is nowadays strains are a moving target constantly appearing and disappearing. I have some links buried in my bookmarks of doom, I'll try and dig the out.

That's why we make it a true database - one that is easily updated. :)

Also I find that when a strain it works for certain symptoms, they never seem to quantify it. I mean, If a person has a dibiilitating symptom, they know what some of the BEST strains are for that, not just that the symptoms are listed with that strain.

Like:
Anxiety relief (5)
Insomnia (7)
I know, I know. Not bloody likely.
