what nutes are you using, and at what strength? to be frank and honest, i do not see a problem; i start clones with 1/2 strength 3 part, and beans with 1/4 1/4 1/4....

tbh, i don't think you have much to worry about; the others look fine, and you may be experiencing a taproot malfunction.... i've had roots get bunched in medium, and yellow up before the roots penetrate the net pots. once the roots are dangling, they go green, and blast off. i've a feeling that nutes have nothing to do with it.

ok,all the others are showing no signs but most have a root down in the res but that one does not,and that one is much smaller than the rest too,

the problem is it is slightly root bound; the tip has hit an obstacle. be patient, and give it time. the bound root will shoot out feeders, which will become new trunk roots. once they make it out of the net pot, the plant will commence to taking off. it has nothing to do with nutes, so you're fine, don't adjust or alter.

as a matter of fact, i have a pic of the exact same problem here is before the roots found the water, and after.... in the first pic, it's the one in the back left corner.... in the second, same plant is in the top right corner...

yep; the only difference is that mine is a clone, and was bigger when started; i get the same yellowing of the lowest leaves, then new growth emerges when the roots make their way. once they start to take off, it's about a week before they are on que with the others. however, it will always be a runt compared to the others, due to the stall. kp

yep, feeding has nothing to do with it. pretend the roots are feet, and the pots are shoes; if the roots stay within the pot, the plant's feet start to get sore and hurt from not enough growing room. however, the roots will find a way, just be patient. once new roots are free hanging, the plant will grow just fine. if for some reason the roots can't make it out, the plant will die.

imo, just wait and see.

what type of net pots are you using, can you take a pic? perhaps it is a nute burn, when did you first notice the yellowed tip? and, are they showing any full discoloration, or are they dark green?

looks good. i no longer think it's a root issue; you may want to ask rose about the nute strength, but the yellow tip is an indication of over nute. if it doesn't get any worse, you'll have no probs, if the yellowing progresses, your nute strength is too strong. i test plants until they show me tips like that, then i back off slightly, and keep the levels there. this allows for maximum growth, and ideal strength of nutes. kp
