Nice timeline here, very specific, especially if you grow from seed, and are allowed to grow as many plants as you would like.

We are only allowed 6 plants per patient.  I've never thrown them into flower at 2 weeks.

I take clones when vegging, so I have to wait many weeks for my girls to finish in my flower room.

He suggests the optimum time for taking clones is when they have been 12/12 for 2 weeks.  I have been having trouble

cloning lately....maybe I'm taking too early?  Just curious what everyone else does, although I think there are many seed growers here!?

idk anything about dropbox, sorry if its not convienent.

the method kinda shakes my prodution up too suzy.  1 week of veg is insanity.  but his rational is the growth vigor of the plant is the greatest, so the flower production will be as well.  cuts my 16 week cycle down to 12.... thats fast.  time to try and see.

I was able to download the piece without signing up by just closing the sign-up page as Master Gardener says above.
Glanced through the info. Seems pretty thorough. I grow from seed and tend to let my plant (only grow one at a time) 4 weeks before switching to 12/12.
The one thing that jumped out to me was, the author is pictured in a logoed shirt. MJ growing has really gone mainstream.
Enjoy the day

Berger is a soilless media producer.  mmj is a huge market for them.

their BM6 mix is pretty darn good for cannabis - cheap too.

If you have a plant in flower for 2 weeks and then take clones from it the

odds are that it will have entered the flowering stage already, meaning it will

have to revert to veg before it grows roots. NOT good for success, IMO.

Also, clones taken too late can often grow funky looking.

I take clones in the first 3 days it's on 12/12 (flowering) and get near 100%

success on rooting. Nothing fancy, just a well cut clone, rooting agent and

a rapid rooter plug in a standard cloner dome.

Before out number in WA got cut down to 4 ea., I used to grow 4 weeks veg., 8 weeks bud on average.

My experience has been that you can take a clone as far as 3 weeks into bud... but it's rough on the plant and slows the growth cycle as the shock and growth has to revert back into veg.  I prefer to take my clones while still in veg.  Just works smoother and keeps things moving better.  only a little shock and B1 treatment brings 'em right back into shape and barring any unforeseen complications... 99%+ success.

Since we got cut down, I moved to bigger buckets (from 4 to 7 gal.) and now I veg for 8 weeks and bud for 8 weeks... except for my northern lights, which wants to go a full 12 weeks in bud.  really messes up the cycle but gets the best results.  I'll often start the bud cycle on the NL early now... but still haven't foun the pefect combo to keep all the plant cycles in line.  I pull my clones about 5-6 weeks into veg now and still have great success.

Been cloning the same 3 strains for many years and still getting just as good an effect on them now as I was when they popped from seed, so many years back.
