True enough, Plant Boy-I'm a bit of a worrier;) The plants always do better than I do.
Girls got 300ppm of Age Old organics kelp n fish 3/2/2, first actual feeding, with age old Help!, which is vitamin b, Mg, and a tad o' nitrogen. Can't wait to see how they take it.
Also finished an outdoor windbreak 6' high that I'll take a picture of... Can't wait. Gooday all, dwd

Hey, GP, 3 weeks from seed for Panama 1 +2, tikal 1 and Nepjam 1, a week or so for tikal 2, and a few days for Nepjam 2. They like better being put directly in soil, no block. Not surprised.

They get uppotted today if they dry out by EOD, 250 or 400 mh gets added tomorrow.
Tikal in front, Nepjam in back, Tikal2 is the littlun.

Like you always say, Plant Boy, it's a weed;) they'll do their thing...

Uppot yesterday for Panama 1 +2, Nepjam 1 and Tikal 1 on their 3week anniversary. I used half seedling mix, half guano/castings enriched potting soil, a tad of mushroom compost and a tad of other compost. They'll get only PhD water + Age Old Help! for a couple of weeks. They look very happy.
Group shot in New shoes. PReds on left, Tikal front right, Nepjam, back right.

I'll be changing out the LED for MH tomorrow or Sunday, after installing carbon filter and extraction. Roots were super healthy on depot, very bound in the solos. Should see some fireworks;)

Mornin', GP! PRed#3 is up as of yesterday. I watered all but Nepjam#1, who was drinking less than the others and got watered this AM. As if this morning they all look super vigorous, so I think they're just noticing their new shoes and the nutes available in the soil. I have to finish ducting, give the new PRed a few days and the HID'll be up. I'm going to start w/400w mh, solistek.
The newer beans that went directly in soil are doing better than the grodan-popped girls.

Some pics from yesterday: da gang.

I reupped on panama regs and nepjam (fem this time), added banghi haze, Caribe (Jamaican), and think I gota bunch of golden tiger freebies. Don't exactly remember. All regs except nepjam, which the breeder prefers to the genetic of the standards. Good day all, dwd

I hope they come back in time for lights out, Plant Boy;)

I've been wanting to put in the HID, but then I read that the breeders like floros for sativa because they keep them squat... this I did not know.

As the soil should feed them for the next couple of weeks, I'm giving them RO and Great White miccorhizae only. May be seeing some balls forming on Nepjam1. Not sexist.

The new T-8 and T-5's are as about as energy/light efficient as MH and the heat more easily controllable. I'm thinking about a 2x4 foot ghetto tent with eight T-8 tubes http://www.homedepot...02-27/203725928 and "warm" bulbs http://www.homedepot...09433/202504383 92 lumen per watt...

Good idea, KD... I always think of toke n kitty's great starts under floro, like you say, easier to dial in than HID. I'd go with t-5s, unless you find strong daylight t-8s. Feels like more umph in em.

Breeder thinks the sats stretch out their internodes in veg under HID, go squatter under floros, so cool. Also, small pots til stretch is done then repot into bigger ones.

30 day update-

Mornin', greenpeeps. Thought we should celebrate the month of life of these gals;)

A couple of notes; the Tikals, the Guatemala sat, really show their haze/kush side, staying the squattest/most indica-like of the three strains I have going. Its branching is very vigorous from the first internode, and little sister is following the same pattern.

The Nepalese/Jam is the most distinctive in its sharp leaf and weepy growing style. While she's a-growin' rapidly, I think she may be more sensitive to ph and nutes and I do not yet have them dialed in. Really dark stank to her. Her little sister may be different pheno.

I have three Panama Reds going; the two one-monthers are starting to differentiate themselves one from the other now. One is stretching more columnar, has less red in its stems and leaves, which are a bit thinner than sis, who has darker leaves, stems and stalk and is staying more squat. She does something very interesting; she has good branching at certain internode, but skips an internode before more branching at the next. Her sis has a new shoot on one side, but not the other, so both a bit asymmetrical. I'm looking for the longer-flowering, stretchier pheno for my personal taste, and hell, why not the shorter, faster, redder one while we're at it.

Hey, stoner, some of em have reddish tint, specially the Panamas, but the LED definitely gives rose colored glasses;)

I flushed the bigger Nepjam and all the second run babies as my ph pen was way off. The Nepjam is kicking better than the rest now, so the Panama and Tikal are getting flushed next @ph6.5, w/great white, age old Help! and a 1/2 dose age old kelp n fish 3-2-2. The Nepjam is loving it and showing some leg; a big old hairy dude's leg, I'm pretty sure. Giving a couple of days for him her to confirm balls or buds. If a dude, he's out. I'll only take a Panama male.

Anyway, Nepjam is a good canary plant; showing symptoms of ph and nute trouble before the other strains.
Side view-Nepjam is far left, lighter green, been showing sex, albeit indeterminate, for a few days.

Luckily, these plants are hardy enough to give me a second chance;) almost top-n-clone time for Panama 1,2 and big Tikal. If big Nepjam's a dude, I'm dropping a recently acquired fem bean in the dirt. Gooday all, dwd

Thanks, PB, but what a difference correct pH means...

Everybody except nepjam 2, the little one, are doing really well after repot/flush. I think the probe on my pH pen had dried out a bit.

I dropped a nepjam fem bean in the dirt (def want to run this indoors) and one of a new strain to this grow; bangi haze. It has Nepalese mixed with haze and I think something else.

Tomorrow they'll probably all get RO water only. I think next time around I may do this a bit more methodically, i.e. popping ten PRs at a time instead of 2\3 of each. This is a lot of fun, but that makes more sense. I want a female of that Jamaican pheno of the nepjam...
