i've recently started thinking about switching to a more efficient lighting system and was looking at the spectrum kings full spectrum led system and wanted to know if anyone has/is using them or knows someone who is and could let me know how well they work and if they like them. any input would be appreciated

They look good. First off they use Cree LED's which are the best and most efficient made but they are expensive. They do their own engineering and construction. The only problem I have is that they are very expensive but other than that, they are a great light.

yea they're pretty pricey but if they perform like they say they do i figure they will pay for themselves in the long run

I just picked up a used SolarStorm 880 LED (with fluoro UVB boosters).  It's switchable between veg and flower.  They've been on the market for a year, full retail new is $2K.  I got it for $1K, after doing the math.  If this was the first model out the door, and the first owner used it for a whole year, the LED's have gone through 6% of their useful life.  I still get 94% of the usability of the main lights, for 50% of the price.

I haven't plugged it in yet, but keep an eye on my grow journal.  I intend to start it out with veg, and then keep it in "flower" mode...

Im looking forward to your new light too!  LEDs arent as silly as I once thought, though i am still not convinced they are cost effective or do what most manufacturers claim.... my interest is peaked!
