There's a small bud forming on one of the leaves of a Chocolope'.
Has any one seen this before? Makes me want to try cloning that leaf somehow.

Chinensis old Chinese trick j/k

Chinensis is an ancient Asian type where the plant has an ability to grow either leafs or flowers out of the petiole. Amazing when seen and if your really lucky you will see the odd one that has a growing branch coming out of the petiole. You can start a plant with these pretty easy from what I learned by watching this special type grow in my own garden..

They are pretty rare and I have never seen anyone with any pure stock , its occasional traits surface from this ancient plant line being mixed into the exotic side of the hybrid world ..

I always envisioned Chinensis to be a little prehistoric due to this odd trait and manner of spreading itself in more ways then just seed. Those leafs I mentioned with petiole branch growth would often separate from the plant as if it was dropping them to grow new versions of itself wherever it landed. This trait is found in a few plant specimens so it is not really a phenomena when you really look deeply into botany and the evolution of plants in general.

I've got a Blockhead from a packet of Chimers work, almost done flowering now, under LED's.

She has a branch, (probably wrong botanical term) coming right from the stem of a fan leaf, maybe half an inch from the stalk.

So odd looking.

I'm not shy to remove spent leaf, not willy nilly like, I have a time frame I follow, but as I was dressing her for the finish line, I saw this.

I'll try and snap a pic of her.

Forgot to note in the old Marijuana Botany book this was mentioned as a mutation?

It was highlighted and found on an Afghani by Robert Clarke lol

Take a look if you have access to the book and it will make you question the man and his book even though the botanical side is pretty damn good..

In my earlier post I claimed this photo of a Blockhead, it is NOT. She is a neighbor to one, but this girl is an ORFN.

A seed from a something I grew and out it popped during bud prep.

A wee runtie thing, I just could not cull for whatever reason.

I wish I had not plucked the fan leaf fingers before I saw this:
