if i were still in Cali i could help you custom build those curtains using a bar-b-que spit or an old boat trailer winch (placing it in the middle and both ends of the curtain rod sitting in pillar blocks or a simple wooden set), which would be easier. But that's a lot of material/weight to raise at one time. i would use the dark sun screen, the kind used @ nurseries, again a weight issue but won't stop the plants needed light or air movement used by a greenhouse. Roman shade designs to a simple roll up curtain would work Tom and you can get as fancy as you want to get. i can fabricate any thing and i believe you can too. i have used a bar-b-que spit for making a working lighthouse we had in our front yard to wanting to use it to rotate my plants with out having to move them manually. A chain driven system can move an entire room of tables plants could be sitting on. Just a bunch of ideas i have rolling around attached to a marble. And if i turn my head too fast i can lose my train of thought. uhhh what was it we were talking about? There was nothing i could not fabricate if i had the supplies and tools and now the physical abilities. i have a new light design that could revolutionize the way an entire world could grow indoors. i best shut up now till i make a working model. It can moved anywhere you go. i hope one day to give this to the world but i need help to build one, but so afraid to share in fear of being tossed aside and my idea taken from me. Sorry i'm not there to help out but i'd be of no physical help. But i could draw some thing up depending on what you wanted. i'll shut up now

The design of roll up curtains isn't hard, I've seen them made with iron water pipe and shade cloth. The Farmtek catalog should give you some ideas.

you are on the right track....
farmtek is a good source for ideas and parts
zzzzz's manual system was fine too.

automated greenhouse curtains are custom systems with pieces from multiple manufactures..... so there isnt really a store for that sort. many of the greenhouse manufactures offer a system, but you have tell them the size and shape, and let them engineer it.

conley greenhouse http://www.conleys.c...t_retention.htm
will give you a bid for one.

wadsworth controls manufactures a drive motor system
http://www.wadsworth...ign_options.htm
but they only sell through their dealers... like conleys

black fabric comes from svennson...... http://www.svenssong...ra-revolux-abbb
again.... available from a dealer like conley's

good luck
