With all the upcoming MMJ laws being voted on this fall, we need to have a way of convincing all those people who don't know about medical cannabis. Along with the efforts of many activists, I want my list to be used as a major weapon against the prohibitionist's lies and half-truths!

For the list to be perfect, I need your help! The "Equinox list" (which all GP members will be getting soon) is FAR from perfect! It works just fine, but there are studies that have been listed twice, I may have messed up on some of the patent dates- just "details" and small stuff, but it all needs to be fixed! Your help is purely voluntary, but very much appreciated! yay.gif

So if there is 2 of a kind in a single category, a "cranky" link, a wrong date (1899 instead of 1998 :) ), even if a URL is font 10 instead of font 12! Post it up here, so we can make Granny's July List the best ever! :D

Love ya all! :)

edit: Those who have been helping on this project shouldn't have their names hidden away on post 17!- they deserve to be right up at the top! So here they are!

Somedude posted the Equinox link for those searching for it. I will be checking this list out unless there is some other copy you are "editing" for some other reason!

Here is the link for those interested......

There are now so many members at GP that poor somedude (who I mercilessly drafted) is having to do the mailing in batches! So it is coming, if you don't have it yet!

What do you do? Look through your copy and find a subject near and dear to your heart and look at it! Check any links that interest you.

I tend to grab a study now, and check if I already have it later. And then, I forget to check. Plus there were times when I knew I had the abstract and then found the full study and grabbed it. So report any duplicates. I've already found some while adding to the list during the last few days (10 more pages!).:)

Dates! I sometimes mess up dates. I enjoy genealogy and deal with a lot of 1800 dates, so I may easily type 1899 instead of 1998 and never notice! :oops:Or I may grab the expiration
date of a patent instead of it's date of being granted. Or switch the last two numbers!:bananas:

Since I copy and paste- the links should all work OK, but some sites are cranky. If it won't work easily, for any reason- report it! Or sometimes a news article gets trashed- disappearing from the web.

Did I leave a link in font 10 instead of font 12? Is it in Times New Roman? Do I have an extra space between studies? (Yep! I want you to be that picky!)

Is the study in the wrong category? (duh! :dunce: sometimes I do mess up!) Should it also be included in another category? Did I get the full title of the study (We can skip the subtitles- the list is long enough without them!)

When I have corrected a problem on my master list at home, I will put a "Thank you" by the post. That way we can keep track of what's been done.

And have you ever come across a good study I don't have? PM it to me!

This list isn't about me- it's about all of us- GreenPassion, bringing the truth to light! Every one of you has found that cannabis IS medicine. Now, let's let the world know it, too! They have been lied to and kept in the dark for too long! We have the truth backed up by scientific facts. Let's share the truth with everyone!

Thank you all so much for your help! Hug Smiley

OK, I did the Cancer-Breast section and here's what I found:

This link didn't provide any research:

JunD is involved in the antiproliferative effect of Delta(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol on human breast cancer cells (abst - 2008)
http://www.knockouts....?pmid=18454173

These studies are the same study published in different places at different times:
Marijuana Compound Shows Promise In Fighting Breast Cancer (news - 2007)
http://www.scienceda....1123211703.htm
Marijuana Compound Shows Promise In Fighting Breast Cancer (news - 2007)
http://www.scienceda....1123211703.htm

Cannabidiol may be helpful in reducing the aggressiveness of breast cancer cells
(news - 2007)
http://www.cannabis-....kel.php?id=258
Medical Marijuana Takes On New Meaning for Metastatic Breast Cancer
(news - 2007)
http://www.healthcen..../takes-cancer/
Cannabis compound cannabidiol CBD 'halts cancer' & may bring relive to other illness's (news - 2007)
http://news.bbc.co.u...lth/7098340.stm

This one is the same as those above, but it's the full study rather than the abstract, which might be a good one to keep:
Cannabidiol as a novel inhibitor of Id-1 gene expression in aggressive breast cancer cells. (full - 2007)
http://science.iowam......ter 2007.pdf

These two are duplicates of each other:
Suppression of Nerve Growth Factor Trk Receptors and Prolactin Receptors by Endocannabinoids Leads to Inhibition of Human Breast and Prostate Cancer Cell Proliferation (full - 2000)
http://endo.endojour....9b40ea90bc1776

Suppression of Nerve Growth Factor Trk Receptors and Prolactin Receptors by Endocannabinoids Leads to Inhibition of Human Breast and Prostate Cancer Cell Proliferation (full - 2000)
http://endo.endojour.../full/141/1/118

Hope that's not too much for you. wall.gif

Thanks, SO much, for this glorious compilation that's SO easy to send to everyone who doesn't believe us! :)

Is this where you want our findings posted or did you want them sent privately? I'm certainly game to grab some more of it and do it, but don't wanna duplicate effort. What still needs doing? Or what has already been done? Whichever is shorter! LOL I SO appreciate all the hard work that you put into compiling this list of data! I'm a study freak and LOVE when science proves what I know to be true! :P Plus, this is the most amazing list to send to folks who just don't believe pot has medicinal value. :) xxoo Melizzard

Just post them up here, hon! That way everyone is on the same page! I have a post in this thread where I say who is doing/has done which sections.

My big problem is trying to stay on task and not get all involved with a study when I'm trying to enter it in the list! I have to read it, but not "get lost" in it!

The list is growing RAPIDLY! You all freeing me up has given me time to bring the list up to 280 pages (on my home computer) as of right now!- and it's even my son's turn to cook tonight (he makes the best home-made pizza- from scratch!), so I get that extra time too!:P
