Anyone heard of using sugar or brown sugar? Someone told me it works the same as molasses, but I'm skeptical. I'm also wondering how it effects taste, especially when burned for consumption...I mean, burnt sugar (and molasses) is nasty! Really, does it improve the taste? Appreciate your thoughts...

Ditto on the Molasses . I used it for 4 grows now all through the entire grow . I use 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons to 1 gallon of water in vegging / And as soon as I see Buds developing I up it to 3 to 4 tablespoons per gallon on all watering and feedings till done . I also mix in H2O2 at 3 tablespoons per gallon ever watering and feeding. In my experience it does make the Smoke a lot better tasting and I think it fattens up the Bud for sure ..But the taste is everything and also It make Them just happy .. :) :)

Great Thread! I always use 1 tblspn per gallon all the way thru flower up to the last 10 days and then it's nothing but fresh clean water all the way to the finish line. From what I have heard you can actually run it thru flush too but I am yet to try it. Can anyone help with that question? Thanks again for the Post. Peace

Yep, you can run it through flushing. Most of the reason for flushing is people using high PK nutes during flowering which can cause a chemical taste when used heavily. Molasses will actually help since the trace elements will actually help the plants use up the major nutrients.
