welcome to gp! first of all very light nutrients....VERY light....can be used at early seedling growth. i dont know about the lawn fert, thats a high N. if you have a PPM meter and can get it to levels of 100-300PPM that would be fine. otherwise make a good soil mix, many can be found here at GP through a simple search or through the Grow FAQ - worm castings mixed in are an easy way to get some Nitrogen to your plants. What watt are the 4 CFLs? You will definately need more lights for 8 plants. temps 65-75 are fine, dont let them get too cold at night.

Thanks for gett1ng back to me, 1 w1ll be go1ng hydro somwwere along the l1ne, as 1 have 3 mazar do1ng well 1n so1l, 4 weeks old, st1ll unfed.
The cfls work out about, a 26w, plus 3 at 11w. all 1 can get at the mo, these worked for my mazar qu1te well, just that the AK48 d1dn't respond the same.,they are way beh1nd the mazar. Just wonder1ng 1f a l1ttle feed would help, 1 don't normally feed so early, but these have me baffled, g1v1ng just phd water to them. Any, fed now, at only 100ppm, funny really, my mazar 1n so1l have been 1gnored and abused apart from waer, and love 1t.
So1l 1s so s1mple....... 1 f1nd hydro so challeng1ng, say1ng 1v'e been a gardener for yrs!!!

i think you need to up the lighting situation and the temp but as far as feeding goes the plant can begain to metabolise soon after it growes its first set of jagged leaves so yes i would add nutes at a very diluted strength it is easy to add more food as needed but nute burning can be devistating to new roots so dilute the nutes alot.
p.s i know they are in rockwool but what are you growing them in like the exact setup.
p.s there are a lot of old timers on this site with great knowledge it would be easier for them if you wernt typing in L33T. - Thanks

What are you feeding your mazer? Sorry, seems you aren't feeding them yet. If you are doing hydro eventually you must have some nutes other than the lawn food around there? Any house plant food? Schults liquid house plant food is okay in a pinch. Use it about half to a 1/4 strength to start. I have used this for plants short on iron.
Peace

ileso,
Where did that come from? I never thought or heard of that. But, it makes perfect sense, as long as the lawn hasn't been treated with something nasty, like herbicide. Very good idea, bro.

its one of those things stored in the attic of my head that i only remember when the light goes on... lawn clippings are rich in all sorts of great stuff the seedling love like Nitrogen... bluss all sorts of other hormones... i use it on seedlings when i have it.. i only remembered cause they were mowing the lawn out in the park just before i came home and saw the post.... the grass in the water will go yellow overnight as everything usefull drains into the water... use just the water
trust me its GOOD
