150 watt... mogul/medium base??
whats up everybody..
i got a question and please
forgive me if it has been asked/answered before..
i recently bought a 150w sun system enclosed ballast/reflector hood
from a guy on craigslist.
My plant is almost into its 5th week of veg and i need to buy a bulb
to induce the flowering around next week. (hoping to see some pre-flowers before then)
on the ballast it states to use "Only with ED style bulbs.."
is the ED style bulb a medium or mogul base bulb?
i've seen some medium base bulbs online and it just seems to me that
it is too small to fit into the socket. Im not absolutely sure about this
but it was more of an "eye" estimate.
any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...
-yorK

The mogul base is larger than the typical medium base we use in our homes, your local grow shop will give you the correct bulb.

Yes, you are right, you need a mogul shaped base for your light. Print off the pic of the specs for you light and take them with you to the grow shop, and they will give you the right bulb.
Good luck

Just make sure it is the right temperature for blooming. 2700k is bloom temperature. This gives you the proper spectrum of light.

Will do jangel..
I still believe it is a mogul base.
The socket is just too wide to fit a
standard medium base bulb.

^That looks more like the width of the socket compared to:
im still unsure, but im going to stop by homedepot and pick up whichever 150w hps
they have and see how it fits into the socket. Worse case scenario, its the wrong
base and i have to drive back.

hey, can you take it with you and try it in the car? save your time anyway sweetie.
OR take a tracing of the socket. that will show if it will fit.
Peace
