Flavor your water cured stash
I kept hearing about this water curing process so I tried it and liked it. The only misgiving being you lose the smell and the taste. I like smell and taste in my canabbis so what could I do? I decided to try to flavor mine. I began to search for the kind of product that I needed. I wanted to do oil so the it would soak into the pot and moisten it a bit, so I ordered oil based flavoring in the flavors of spearmint, strawberry, mandarin and tangerine. I ordered a water soluble blueberry flavor fom another site. After ordering I did more research and found that though the smell of the concentrates was very good, they were not ingestible.
The blueberry was ordered from the "Natures Flavors" store.
I had a 2 ounce bottle of organic blueberry flavor and used approximately 20% of the bottle and mixed it with 1/2 cup of water. I took the pot I was gonna flavor and put it in a Saran plastic food container, I then sprayed while mixing the pot with my other hand until they were quite wet. I then sealed the container and placed it atop one of my Phototrons where there is heat and let it sweat inside the plastic container. After about 6 hours I spread the pot on a screen to dry. It smells like Blueberry and it tastes like blueberry and still keeps it;s potency.
Remember to use water based flavors because the oil based ones are for aroma therapy , lip balms and massage oil.

Let me see if I have this right: You water cured the pot first then added the water soluble flavoring to the pot and it smelled like blueberry? To smoke and smell?

HOW ABOUT FROZEN FRUIT JUICE,
available in many different flavors,(like bacardi frozen mixes)
I've been using apple wedges, fruit peels, and APPLE JUICE for DECADES,
but never tried water curing(yet)
I store excess harvest in the deep freeze and it freeze dries it,after a year or more it's so dry.
It's like flash powder,If you don't moisten it,it just burns to quickly...
Peace

It smells and tastes like blueberry
It didn't harshen the smoke either. They are non toxic organic food flavorings.
I tried a little at a time and had my wife taste it, she really likes blueberries. When she gave me the ok I went with that.

I did also try flavoring by putting sprigs of mint or lemon balm in curring jars of mj...again very harsh....the heavy spicy mj smell was not enhanced so I don't recommend it.

Maybe WB found something that worked. I am sure, knowing wb, he will now have to try other types of flavors. I would be interested in all of it. Maybe we could come up with a GP flavour!

Here's where I purchased mine
I know I am out in left field sometime, follow the beat of my own drummer if you will. I like it that way. I like to experiment and if I find something that others might like I post it. I have strawberry, watermelon, and tangerine coming. jangel was right it was in the first post.

Seems like vanilla beans or cinnamon sticks in a container after curing would accomplish the same effect if it is left to cure in an air tight container.

Try what you want
If that is what you want to do. I'm not going to try those. I have spent the time, money and my own smoke to try these out and I only pass on what my wife and I have tried and liked. Some of our friends have also enjoyed what we have shared, with a couple asking to try it on some non water cured pot. I will at a later date. I have 4 more weeks in the dark before it's ready.
The flavors this time
Strawberry came out tart I guess the taste is not sweet but great to put strawberry taste in ice cream and such. I am a diabetic and have glucose gel in case of emergency hypo treatment. I dissolved a bit in the flavored water until the taste was mildly sweet. That worked, non sugar sweetener will probably work. On a scale of 1-10 I'D give it a 7.
Tangerine, don't wast your time.
Spearmint, it is almost is like smoking a menthol cigarette. You get both taste and smell. Rate 8.5 cause when I smoked cigarettes I was a menthol smoker.
Those oils I bought are not going to waste. Just a few drops around the house and I can have the whole place smell like I have a bunch of air fresheners in there.

i wonder if ya took some of those flavorings and added it to your ph'd water, would the plants absorb it changing the flavor at all?
I have heard of people doing something similar to this, except using different kinds of juices (blueberry, raspberry, etc)
