Default my first urban outdoor grow

hi all,

well this year has been a bit stressfull, but even so i have sort of half heartedly managed to grow a small crop from some excellent strains my sis sent me from the land of OZ.

i say half heartedly because the crops outcome was sort of fragile from the outset. i knew beforehand that i would be moving house at least a month before finishing time which is in most cases a critical time to be moving, but i started out anyway, had a whole lot of trouble with pests and nutrients etc, but finally, all of my work, worries and stress has finally begun to pay off.

i have 3 flowering females:

1 - unknown strain from a clone i 'took' from a friends enormous plant... good thing too cause he let it die... and it was trully a monster like id never seen, my clone is about 40cm tall and is one long bud;

2 - a thai strain my sis sent me, shes a bit worst for wear but has come through with a few good buds, still, not fully mature, but i reckon at least 10g from this one, the male i collected pollen and crossed with 1 and 2;

3 - and finally the star of the show, my sis sent me two vietnamese strain seeds, of which i got 1 male and 1 female. the male i collected pollen also and pollinated 1, 2 and 3. now shes a pure sativa, tall, long but absolutely compact. i mean, shes got branching every 1-1.5 cm all the way through and on the branches as well.... shes got 39 of those... hehehehe
she'll eventually have so much bud... ( if i manage to pull through with it ), but her finishing time is totally wrong for my climate, latitude and desires, so my struggle isnt over yet. today is october 7 and the lil bitch has only this week begun to preflower after a month of stretching...
i think itll be a xmas tree...full of bud?? shes SSOOOO compact!!there are so many bud nodes and branches on her that my imagination derails as i try to imagine what shell look like in 1-2 months... i hope she doesnt take too long to finish, but who knows... i wanna revegetate her again as sson as shes done, so i can cross her with something quicker to finish.. afghan is all i got. any ideas? anyone.. she has so many wonderful traits... nodes, nodes, nodes.... but she takes too damned long....

well here are my mouth watering photos for all to see...
im pretty happy too, given i still havent got a job... thats depressing me heaps... not to worry though, back straight, chin up and smile is what i say...

Photos:1- unknown skunk type/comecial strain, 1-4;
2 - thai strain, 5-6;
3 - vietnamese strain, 7-10.

peace
ileso

(i miss you guys)

nice to see your excitement about the harvest spilling off the computer buddy

nice attitude about the work situation to...It can be hard to keep a positive attitude between jobs, but so important.

I would love to here you thoughts on any breeding program you are contemplating....not many true breeders on the site...and it my kick start a few of us into giving up our addiction to commercial seed banks...who will develop the soon to be famous GreenPassion strain? much harolded for its ease of growth, medicinal properties, and gentle euphoric high? could be you ileso

imagine all of us growing it? kind of cool

today my sweeties went for a checkup...
and i found the pesty little buggers are making a comeback.
they are virtually indestructable, rambo spider mites.

ok, i've almost killed my ladies twice trying to get rid of them.
is there anything i can do to get rid of these ...things that wont destroy my ladies and most iportantly fill my buds with harmful chemicals?

I have heard in a vid somewhere about using ivory snow, the baby laundry detergent to get rid of them. Look in the Refriginator series, and the last one on cloning, it mentions washing the clones prior to starting them to get rid of spider mites in Ivory snow. I do not know if they have insectisidal soap there in spain, but safers has a good product for spider mites and it is non=toxic, organic. Other wise, just keep searching babes. Also, a mild mix of dish soap sprayed on the underside of the leaves every day is supposed to work as well.

good luck!

I think the little mighters will just go dormant, not disappear. I would deal with them, especially if you have plans to bring anything INSIDE! Then you will be screwed, and not nicely either.....LOL!

ileso, i love your balcony - that just too far out, plants looking beautiful

with those critters, they won't freeze up before your plant is already frozen - or rather, the rate of plant grows goes down as their activity rate - meaning once they quiet your plant won't grow either. And as soon as they get warm again life is creeping back and they all over!

either get the chemical club out in form of a pesticide or get something organic (which doesn't means less toxic as for example nicotine is organic and super toxic still).

And if you are too close to harvest time yet have critters in the buds and a indoor grow at risk, trim the buds down, fill the buds in plastic bags and freeze em for a couple days at least at -21°C - the lower you get in temp the better to kill all bugs off. then dry and cure them as usual.

Hey Ileso, just as a matter of curiousity, you are in Spain, correct? What are the laws on our herb there? I don't know and would like to. Some countries have decrimanalized it, and some not. Just curious, thanks buddy.

I love the balcony shots too sweetie.

Peace

thankfully there are places where the tides have turned or are turning... had to happen some day.. in places like spain where the cannabis culture is up to 3 generations deap there is no point in keeping the farse going. I have friends whose parents grow, and have done for a long long time... its the population that turns the tide, not politics.
unfortunately there are still politicians throughout the world who feel that its up to them to decide whats right or wrong, itll have to end someday... persistant ****ers, give em that much... worst that my damned spidermights by a long shot

as for the question of it legality i found this article...

hi everyone,

here are some new pics... the first ones are almost done... and the big vietnamese girl is coming along steady.

PLUS!!! ive some pics of my next generation, its my new project and when its done i'm dedicating it to this forum and everyone in it thats been so helpfull over the last months sinse the cat dragged me in the front door.. so heres the beginning of ILESO'S PASSION, or should i just call it GREEN PASSION? anyone..? if anyones got a better name spit it out and ill see, cause sinse I'm breeding there are all sorts of phenotypes that get discarded and i just might stretch myself and develop 2 hehehe, all for you here... but itll be a while yet so dont sit up all night...., ill then have to get it to a seed bank so everyone can ahve some, i hate hoarding.. all sorts of terrible things happen if you hoard...

as everyone knows ive been battling hard, leaf to leaf with spider mights, well the battle isnt over, but its controlled.. to 1 plant.. the mature one unfortunately.. sisnse im so close to harvest. i literly wipe em off every day... bud by bud, leaf by leaf, its hard, but its that or loose my crop, and im not going down that road ( you can notice the damage on some of the photos..) , as for the rest i bought me some neem oil... let see how it works.

ps if anyones wondering why the almost mature plant looks so mangy its cause i almost killed it twice trying to get rid of the rambo mites, its a miracle its still alive actually. but it actually bristles with cristals... so much... its a really good strain

PEACE ILESO
