Sharing my story
well, thank you..I lov to rock every chance I get...lol..thank you for the compliment..I will share with you my story and how cannabis has touched my life..I was married..almost 32 yrs...suffered from serious depression...got to the point..I became suicidal...then, attempted suicide 5 or 6 times...hospitalized 5 times in 5 years, I averaged about once a year. The last time was July of 07. I was diagnosed, rediagnosed, undiagnosed....they gave me sooo many heavy drugs..in the process, I became addicted to klonapin. Five years..I was pretty much gone and in bed 80% of the time...I couldn't complete the simplist of tasks..I accepted the fact that this was my life..and would rather not participate any longer. The last hospital..helped me realize I could have a different life. One morning, they asked if I felt ..I was in danger of hurting myself...I told them the trurth and said yes. The day went on, then..a lady I had never met..took me into a private room. She was a real straight talker..she looked at me and said...you have to leave your HOME NOW....or...the next time..I would DIE...she made me a believer like no one in my life has. I left the hospital, went home, packed 2 suitcases(best I could,as I was on lots of drugs, unstable and in a fog) and went to the airport and flew home to my family...my brother suggested I start smoking cannabis everyday and stop the drugs...it took awhile..but I did it and it WORKED..here I sit, in my own apartment, very healthy and well. I am divorcing(whew) and living my new life...I have a happy heart, LMAO EVERYDAY....and smoke my cannabis..for enjoyment now. The medicinal use is behind me....I am not sharing this for any sympathy..I dont need that..just sharing the joy I have found in myself...and in the stuff we call CANNABIS...I think you ROCK too....Denise

Hey people, natural lady is a woman I met on Greenpassion's taggged web site.
The link to it is located here.
She wrote me, telling me her story, and I asked her to consider sharing her story, with all of us here. She graciously agreed to do so. I've had many small emails with her, and I can assure you that she is a very special person.
It is also heart warming to see her take control of her life back and to do it successfully. She now is self suffucient, an extremely happy person, not a burden on society what so ever, and all it took to get her life in order was to replace her prescribed medicines with some flower growing in nature....weed.
I hope everyone of you shares a little in this thread and try to help her feel welcomed here please.
Peace

Welcome to GP, natural lady.
It is so good to hear that you are enjoying life, once again. You will find a fine bunch of compassionate, old souls here at Greenpassion.org If there is anything we can do, just ask.
Again, welcome and have fun.

natural lady,
There are truly some great people here, I can tell you this for sure. if you need anything just ask.
I find it totally satisfied to hear that the plant we all love can replace the pharmaceuticals that nearly harmed you. Congratulations for beating down the obstacles in your way. Your so very strong.

Greetings Natural Lady...it's an honor to meet you!
Life is a journey, ain't it? Worst thing is to get sidetracked into some void while chasing this incredible adventure we call life. What I call "voids" does happen, but it sucks big time.
Beauty of it all is that Sun rises every day...and everyday has something new to learn, see or do.
Heard Nick Nolte in a movie once say "There are no such things as "ordinary moments". That's very true, but you have to learn how to look and listen.
Only took me 49 years to learn how to listen.

Aloha, many blessing to you on your found happiness. Hospital drugs don't do good for me and made some things in my life harder too. I'm on the same ocean, but a different boat than you. If you ever get down again remember "it's better to light one candle, than to curse the darkness". I believe that light you lit was a joint (no pun) which helped you find your way to light other candles in your life.

Hey Natural Lady,
Welcome to GP! Many of us here know about depression. It is not just a "mental" problem, it can be a physical problem, also. I lived with a seriously noodled spine for years. The constant pain can lead to serious depression when you see no way out. I was to the point I could not even sleep because of the pain. In other words, it was literally killing me.
With a little toke before bed I now sleep like a log, and am healthier because of that single fact. I can now get out of bed without rolling out. I can stand up straight. I can engage in conversation without gritting my teeth. I still have bad days, but at least now I know that they are temporary and will pass. What a blessing to have something to look forward to besides death!!
Later,
