just started a grow in a rubbermaid tub, i'm new! need tips!
hey everybody! i'm new hear so cut me some slack. i just started growing in a rubbermaid container i picked up at walmart, i bought another one for when they get taller. i have 8 plants, 2 or 3 are about 4 or 5 inches tall, the leaves are still trying to come out, they're stretching pretty bad. i had them on the ground and the 2 flouro tubes were on the very top, so i lifted the plants up and now they're pretty close to the light, maybe that will fix the stretch problem?
i'd like to start a grow journal, anyone know how to do that?

Hey Buddy.. getting them closer to the light is a good start. What kind of lights are you using? Are the flouro tubes made for growing? Post some pics of the bulb markings if you can. You may need a bit more to get the plants vegging well.
There are several good threads on here about rubbermaid grows like yours.. As for the journal, just scroll down on the main page to the grow journal section and post a thread in there. Just like you posted one in the intro section.

This post is by our now banned friend reinstorm, who tried to re instate him self. Now Ganjagod is banned as well.
I wonder if he thinks we actually get stupider as we age or just hasn't clued in yet? Too young is too young. We do not want kids here. Nor do we want people that do not show respect for each other. And he did not.
Peace folks. I am headin' to my rocker.....and just relaxiing. Been a bitch of a day..........

I Love to sit on my screened back porch a look out over the pond, watch the humming birds rest on the wire cage support for the BEEBAUM they love BEEBAUM.They will sit there watching us as we watch them. And I can't forget to mention the various tree frogs and lizards that are always around(My wild pet lizard SOBE greats us when we come and go thru the front door he will make himself a bright Lt. green and bob his head and puff his throat)and the writing spider(she's a trip)
We're not that old yet,to where we can't remember the hustle-bustle of our yester years. We've been there, done that, and don't need to go back.
This is the time in our lives when we get to sit back and enjoy the fruit of our labors(or children/grandchildren)

Sure Green, any time! Remember the Friendly Giant? "....and this chair is for a visitior if they happen to drop by...and this one is for the cat to curl up on..." His voice was soo soothing. He was a Canadian Native. I think he died a while ago. Good memories.
Peace Buddy! You too Jonny!

Ya know what Whitetrash? I could do that very easily, beleive me, but it would be unethical and the member that tried to pull a fast one on us would go un-noted. That might be a good thing, but it is wrong to mess with someone's words. And this stands as a lesson for the future. We will let it be.
We can start a new thread and leave this the way it is.
Or make it a peaceful place,
like our own Green Passion is and will remain if
we ALL have anything to say about it.
Peace my friends,
to porches and garden seats every where.
