Default micron mesh conversion guides. a must for kiefing.

two really good conversion scales for when you determine the difference between micron mesh size vs. thread count. sadly a LOT of people get confused by the two, so heres your quick reference guides.

Caustic,
My son surprised me with a small kief box this week. He bought it on ebey for $26, and I understand the concept of keeping some stash in it until the hash accumalates in the bottom. But it has small holes in the ends and I think it is poorly made or poorly designed because of the holes. Can you educate us on kief and kief boxes?

the conversion list itself is great, the example list is a bit off in actual size range, but 100 microns more or less on sand... oh well, i will let this go for now

there are 3 types, grinder with meshed box to collect the grinding dust that contains trichos, then there is the kief tin/box which is basically a storage container with fine sieve mesh at the bottom to collect dust again- but this time it is usually cleaner then that from grinder. and the last is the hash box, that is a larger box with traditionally a silk screen to sieve and shack of trichos from buds - marocco styled hash. the better the screen here the cleaner the hash, but since it is basically forced thru the mesh the stuff sucks, at least the one you buy on the street.
