5 strain grow - just beginning...
Since I haven't done a Grow Journal in a while I thought it might be cool to get one going now that I have a little free time (not much, but a little..LOL)
This grow will be for 5 assorted strains, all done in ebb/flo though veg and flower. The strains will be: Alaskan Thunder"flamingfornication" (You'll figure it out), Sweet Willie, Power Plant (aka WhoopAss), Purple Kush and NFO, all among my Fav's! 2-3 plants ea., depending on how the clones root.
I have 14 clones currently in the bubble cloner, now on day 8. No roots yet, but I expect it won't be long for a few of them to get going. In the same veg tray I've currently got 2 blackberries and a Sweet Willie. These will go into the flower tray as soon as the clones root up and I run out of room in the veg tray.
COMMENTS, suggestions, critiques or just plain old BS'n etc. is more than welcome in this Journal!
Pics up, in a few...

God...do I get stupid when stoned...LOL!!!
The BlackBerry is from a locally done cross. Incredible flavor, very up but mellow high. Not a real ass-kicker, but wonderful after dinner smoke.

Green: that Blackberry is like a bowl of sweet berry ice cream...after dinner when it's time for dessert I just pack a bowl of it and enjoy...
Here's some fresh pics of the kids in veg, and the 14 clones waiting to root up and get into the game...waiting for them to take a root is torture..LOL! ROOT you wenches!!!...............
First is a Purple Kush BUD that developed roots in the cloner...it was just a little bud on top, a couple tiny sugar leaves and a stem...and roots! So, I dropped it into a 4" pot with some good soil and let 'er go...and that was just a few days ago. If this plant makes it it will become the PK Mom.. It still has the trich covered leaves and some nice fresh veg growth showing up...odd mix!
Also there is the Blackberry and Sweet Willie. These are now getting going after a tough 35 days stint in the cloner while "dad" had his head up his arse and put the wrong stuff in the cloner water...finally got it right and these survived where 15 others didn't.
I grow 'em up and flower 'em good...but suck at cloning.

Quick flower room tour here as these WhoopAss (Power Plant) finish their flowering. The plants currently in veg will be added to this same res when they are ready. These plants are on day 11, and showing nice bud sites.
Shelves holding fan and 2 600W HPS ballasts on shelves below. Humidifier runs at full tilt and I barely hold 35-40% RH when lights on.
Here is the left flower tray. I drilled out 8 of the 15 available holes, as that gives the plants a bit more room to breath (at least it makes sense to me..LOL) I also don't like having them so tight on each other...makes it hard for me to get in a prune, etc.
And here is where the great flowering battle between Video and FredFarted will happen. Not much room for the Grandstands...
Still, those 2 plants will have the 600W HPS all to themselves.
Above you can also see the DE humidifer. WE get days when it warms up where the humidity can shoot up in a hurry...that goodie has saved my ass more than once when humidty was very high.
Below is one of the WA's showing some nice bud-beginnings... They have been in flower for 11 days now, and generally finish at 55-57 days from my experience with this strain. Not real fat, but long/firm and dense colas...I'll take it!
This last shot has some of the best colors...just looks cool, to me..

LOL!! Pro's??? Last August when I started growing it was really the first time in my life I ever tried to grow anything...always had a strong dislike for gardening...now...like a pesky deer I won't stay out of it!
Everything I learned I pretty much learned on this site...FAQ, members, asking a jillion questions (even a couple dumb ones.. )
Thank you though for the support...much appreciated on the days I wonder if it's all worth it.

I noticed how clean your grow area is. Very nice. The best way to avoid problems is starting with cleaniness.
Very nice.

Howdy Ice,
The flood tray is a 15 spot (max), and I cut 8 of the factory pre-measured and marked holes in the top instead of all 15, staggering the plants to allow for a bit more size. Yep, the already-read copies of Cannabis Health (Canadian pub.) and others cover the holes that are awaiting new members of the clan.
It's a 31 gal res, holding about 25 gal. Tub is from Lowes at $10 or so. Pump is a Eco Pump 264 GPH, with 5 floods per day, ea 10 min. in flower.
I'm running the Canna Aqua series nutes in veg and flower, plus Plant Marvel's Cal-Mag +, a very cool fert. that blends well and really supports the Canna.
