UK Hemp & Hydro Expo 2008 Comes Back to London

In a bid to bring about raised levels of public awareness to the value of hemp as a national crop, the UK Hemp Expo 2008 is to be held in the Centre of London, its been announced today.

Building on the successes of previous events at various locations around the UK, the 5th UK Hemp Expo has returned to the city which hosted the first UK Hemp Expo away back in 2003, but instead of Wembley, this time the Hemp Expo takes place at the characterful exhibition centre located within the Old Truman’s Brewery in Brick Lane E1, which is only a 5 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station.

Traditionally a colorful and entertaining event this year promises to be no different, with the emphasis again on the versatility and value of hemp as a national crop, and as a national commodity.

Hemp has been in the news recently as the country’s largest producer of industrial hemp, (Hemcore Ltd ) recently announced major expansion plans, on the back of a 6-figure investment from the construction industry.

Hempcrete, is a new take on a construction material which is hundreds of years old. In short its a traditional concrete or cement dressing which contains hemp.

You can feed your plants using electronically operated submersible pumps, dripper systems operated by either air or electric, or you can do it the way the Aztecs used to do it, powering their turbo charged growing system by nature, using "wicks" to transport water to the plants.
