Hey everybody, I started germ 5 of the ice seeds.Will be veg under 150watt cfls till the cab is finished.Two more weeks may be 3weeks.Then I will move them in under 400watt MH to finish veging.Then switch to 400watt HPS flower and finish.EBB&Flood tray with 15 gal res.using GH 3-part nutr ,kool bloom, and floraNectar.When seeds crack will go in rapit rooter plugs in a bubbe box. More to come as they grow,pixs too. PEACE

Toke's doing another grow...COOL!!!

I'll be taking notes this time...:-) I gotta learn how to grow in one of those cabs...best opportunity I'll have till I get one.

Hey Hey,Two days and all five have cracked.Just put them in rapit rooter plugs.I have a seed tray cut in half that I sit in a plastic frozen Lasagana tub filled to the bottom of the seed tray.This is sitting in a clay saucer that's sitting on a heating pad on low and all is cover under a humitidy dome.The water is ph at 6.0 and one drop of superthrive.Now the race is on to finish the cab grow.I can veg them where they are at but I want to veg under MH in the cab.It's going to be close.Here's a pix of the set up with the dome in place. There's some green,red,yellow bell peppers I started form seed.I grew two years ago and saved the seeds.PEACE

I've never grown an Ice strain (or any of the white strains) but the pictures make me drool

One of the strains is on the "grow in the future" list, for sure...

Well it's been two days and the little ice babys have poked there heads up.Today you can see the two real leavse.they look good so far.Gem on the 14th and cracked on the 16th and put in rapit rooter today here are the pixs.All they get is mist of ph water and B-1thrive alive green two or 3 times aday.

Looking good, Toke. Once those little ones get their feet under them, stick them under the MH. In fact, if you can deal with the heat, I'd stick them there once the 2nd set of leaves show. Start them out just outside your grow cab, about 4' from the light and over the course of 2 or 3 days, gradually move them into the cab. I have my 3 bubblegum seedlings under 24-0 CFLs because I am still flowering under HPS in the cab. What I really need is separate veg and flower cabs.

About two or three days I will move them in to a 4" pot filled with hydroton and sit in a small tray.Water as needed by hand.I hope the cab finishes in time for them to get in there.Timing is a factor here. Peace

hey toke, thanks for the pics, do you by any chance have any pics of the cab itself? maybe some before and after's?
i need to build 1 for flowering and 1 for mommas and clones and i could use all the help i can get.

Toke, each plant is different but I have had seedlings as little as 4" under the MH. The key is to slowly acclimate them and monitor them closely the first couple of days. If you see any adverse reaction like wilting or curling of leaves, the light is too intense - move them back out of the cab and let them veg for a couple of days just outside the cab door. Then repeat the process of reintroducing them after they've gotten a little bigger. Good luck.

thanks man, i'll go digging, shit, there is so much to learn, also, i'm working on a little DWC experiment so i'm gonna be starting a thread with pics of my progress and for help.

You're at the right place, that's for sure. You'll get lots of good advice here. If this is your very first grow, I'd recommend a soil grow - much easier and more forgiving of mistakes. I know hydro is great for speed and yield but it does require more attention and time. Maybe you can grow a couple moms in soil and then take clones for hydro. That's what I'm doing, in a way. My former moms were vegging since Nov 1st, until last week when I stuck them in flower. My clones I use the hempy bucket method - similar to DWC except no air stone and very low maintenance. On you cab, a couple of things to remember - heat is your worst enemy. Plan on getting a powerful extractor fan and remeber your intake holes should be roughly 2x as you exhaust hole. I'd recommend installing a light shield (plexiglass, lucite or regular glass) to separate your grow area from the light. Then you can exhaust the heat much easier. Also remember odor control. I'd HIGHLY recommend the Ona bucket method posted by VM. Good luck.

Hey Everybody, This is day 9 and today I moved them to the bubble box.They did look like they were not growing and the two leavse are curling a little along with yellowing on the cotyledons leavse.I got the PH at 5.8 and GH 3-part nutr, the ppm at 408.I know it's alittle high and I'll add some water and dilute it.The res holds 2 gals.I hope they can stay in there for a week or two weeks.Then I know the cab will be done for sure. PEACE

Well they had a slow start but look out now.I'am topping them tomorrow,just to slow them down alittle.The flower cab is almost done.About a week.The one that split on it's own is half the size of the other 3.What you guys think? PEACE
The one in soil was gemed the same time the other and planted the same time.It's alot smaller .

A little update.Crack 5 ice seeds from nirvana on the 3/17 to now and they are doing great.Got off my butt and toped three of the them today.They have grown alot in 4 days.One more girl in the cab to finish this week I hope.Than in the cab the ice go.I'am trying to root the tops I cut today too.Got the shoe box bubble cloner out and put the tops in.The one in soil is one of the five ,It's growing slower.That's about all for now. PEACE
