Drama on a web forum is inevitable, how will it be handled?

Is there a warning system or anything in place to deter members who would join and cause drama, arguing, bashing, insulting, etc.?
I was just curious because so far this site is growers' paradise, however, being that paradise it will grow in popularity, and as it increases in popularity, some trouble makers are bound to come to the site.

hopefully we have more active less annoying mods then other forum sites..ssoooo...hopefully they will take care of those who dont want to pacifie long enough to help anouther out...

Yes, that is a plus here at greenpassion and more than true, we do have wise elders as mods, I was thinking as to whether or not there is an actual system in place that could be posted as a sticky, or if the mods would as you are saying simply intervene. There needs to be a system though, I imagine.

i dont think so we are all adults an should be able to act accordingly...so no i dont think there needs to a writtin system...

I suppose we could start a sticky, or a code of conduct, but I for one would rather wait until the need arises.

We have been blessed with the absolute best members, and besides having mods who are here and active all the time, if we do miss some young kid coming in and misbehaving, you have my permission to bitch slap him.

Yes, we are mature, but I am referring to future members, those who would not be mature. The childish ones. The ones who pee on their plants or have their mommy pull up their plant, complain, then swear that they are over 18, they are just home from college and figured they would "grow some pot" before their break is over. This is the type of person, along with those who are older but behave as if they are children, that I am speaking of. They always bring drama like a cloud on a sunny day!

I think just respect is fine, most of us already know how to respect others. I also think we need to cut out the sexist stuff, not nudie pics or anything but watch what you say to the ladies. On RIU the other day kP was showing off all the holes she cut out to make a sixteen site unit, and someone replied with NICE HOLES KP, it may have been fine with her and it may have been friendly but it was rude, and to top it off he didn't have anything to say about her build just that comment. We are all growers here men and women. joking is fine but sexist comments are not really that cool unless the person knows you are kidding.

It is all about RESPECT and being adults, yes it is.
We had a meeting and a disscussion, the owners and Mods. We agreed that we were all adults. We agreed that we want to attract different types, other than some of those undesirables at the OTHER site, but we also wanted the mature adults here with us. And we had to admit that some of those adults have cute little nudie avatars and will say shit, piss damn and hell ocassionally. We agreed we did not want rules and police here, but we agreed we had to draw the line somewhere too.
So we discussed what is and is not acceptable and what we all can see on TV as a rule of thumb.
ON TV, we hear the dirty words, but we do not hear some of the worst words. We can see partial and total nudity, but we do not see porn. I can not hide some things from my wife (a lady) or from my grandchildren. Somethings are just out there to be seen and heard by anyone and everyone. VM posted some tasteful pics of some scantily clad girls covered in pot. I do not think anyone was offended.
Sp we decided if someone wants to shoot their gun up in the air, and fire blanks, tht's OK. But shooting a member is NOT OK. In other words, we can cuss our males and hermies, or even George Bush, but not cuss each other. We are adults. But we all share in the brotherhood and sisterhood of GROWING POT. So we also agreed not to allow bashing of race, creed, color, religion, etc. We as a brotherhood accept the jew, muslim, mexican, black, red, white and whatever as a brotherhood and sisterhood.
We will have elderly cancer patients visit here. We will have nurses and who knows visit us. Let's show them that stoners and potheads are not all like Skunk and BG (banned here) and that most of us still do have some manners.

How will we handle it? Depends on how severe the rudeness was. Just ask BG and Skunk.
