Attn Michigan Mpp Needs Your Help
Within the next few days, MPP will be finishing our signature drive to place a medical marijuana initiative on Michigan’s November 2008 ballot. If a simple majority of voters pass the initiative, it will be legal for patients to use, possess, and grow their own marijuana for medical purposes.
MPP's hard-working petitioners in Michigan have already collected 470,000 signatures since the drive launched in May, and we need just 10,000 more signatures before the drive ends early next week. It will cost about $40,000 to get these remaining signatures, so we need your help.
If we qualify this initiative for the ballot next week and pass it a year from now, Michigan will become the 13th medical marijuana state — and the first one in the Midwest. And since Michigan is the eighth largest state in the country, the measure’s passage would mean that almost one quarter of the nation would live in states with medical marijuana laws.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Rob Kampia
