Hi, everyone, desperately need help! I think fungus gnats are eating the roots... I've put in sticky yellow strips to catch the adults and have cinnamoned the top layers of soil for every plant, whether wilting or not, watered with Peppermint tea last time and will again this time, except with some nutes, close to half strength.
I'm going to try feeding them from the bottom, so as not to humidify the top layers of soil. This problem appeared immediately after adding some coconut based soil to the top of every pot, repotting one entirely in it. The plant that got repotted in the coconut is blowing the others away growthwise. I wonder if there's any connection between the coco and the growth, and the coco and the gnats?
Sativa is completely curled as it has been for the last few weeks. Older leaves used to stay straight, now they've gone to leaf heaven, leaving the curled leaves and new growth to do the photosynthesizing. A couple of days ago, one of my healthy master kush clones went completely limp. It's said that gnats are evidence of overwatering, and I can believe that, and that they thrive on root hairs, the little bastards.
Any input? How to bottom water by turgor pressure or whatever it's called? Should I add root juice to those not yet in flower?
Thanks very much, GV
The one on the sink is the master kush clone, who had a couple of weeks on the one who looks great now. I'm just hoping to save her for cuttings and bud the other.
The ones budding are the lowryder 2. Ready by christmas, looks like. The sativa, Skunk Haze, just declared herself female! jangel showed me a pic of a similar sativa who budded fine with the same looking leaves.
