Women farmers
Here’s an interesting bit of statistics: Recent census data reveal that 30 percent of farmers in the U.S. are women, and women are by far the majority of farmers in the developing world. The number of female farmers increased in the U.S. and now there are more than a million women farmers. Carolyn Sachs, head of the Department of Women's Studies at Penn State said, "Although some women are farming in large-scale conventional agriculture, various studies have also found that women farmers are more likely to be in sustainable agricultural production than males."
I wonder what the percent would be if they counted the woman who grow cannabis

Nice post. I am one of them.....medicinal cannabis farmer, vegi farmer, ornamental gardener....I am curious in the partner situation, such as my own, what percentage each individual has in the role. I know how to do almost everything, cept build the environment, with the exception of outdoor. I did assist in the inital grow area, that we decided against using last year.
Currently tho, I know how to cut clones, but have not done it, nor the nutes and Ph readings...I scrub trays, use to scrub pebbles..no more pebbles. I transplant clones and teens and set up the trays with drip system. I do trim out of fan leaves during growing and I do all the harvesting and anything that the scuff of popcorn is used for...hash...canna butter from fan leaves..one time. I have made edibles and I also handled the patient requirements, but we both communicate with dispensaries. I do research and communication a lot...
HOW ABOUT ALL YOU OTHER LADIES.....tell me what you do.
Every once in awhile, when he thinks he does all the work...I have to remind him of what is reality.
The tray before last, I did in two days...and that was pushing it, cause that was a good harvest. The last tray I did in a week, cause it was all the kushes, dynamite, lavendar and kind of a bad tray....
HOPE all is well with all of you!!!!
Well, the server is too busy at the moment, so please delete any repetitions....thanks ladies....

Jeez... I'm jealous, after growing bubble n' squeak, my wife doesn't help at ALL.. it's not like it pays the rent, food, electricity, and virtually every other bill...

Well my days are pretty full and it is mostly my fault, cause I know how to do too many
things, so I have no excuse. I have tried to use the excuse that I am old, but that
doesn't work very often, unless, it deals with lifting things...
I do just about everthing around here, but I am not the one going out and earning a
paycheck...so I do it all...However, working from the home is still work and sometimes
harder than some jobs that I have had in an office or teaching...

glad u asked, thanks..
the last forum i was on, i got asked
"if there were no men, then who would grow the pot?"
and
"yeah, but do you make the tea (mix nutes)?"
i bean
mix nutes
feed and water
give hair cuts
arrange for lighting
transplant
help carry lighter pots
not too good at cloning yet
i will get more practice in when we get more mothers going again
i am here with them 24/7 so have done most of the daily maintance
My partner, Tet uses his microscope and evaluates, analysis, diagnosis, treats, etc.
We both discuss and plan equally.
We both research, although he's better at it (more patience)
Tet does all the building and heaving and hoeing and digging. I have been homebound so he has had to do all the shopping and errands as well.
Lucky for me, he's got 20+ years indoor growing experience. This is only my 3rd year. So, he does a lot of teaching, too. lol! We have another partner that comes and helps us out with the heavy lifting sometimes, too.
And as you may imagine, as a desert woman, I sing to them, and pray for them, as well..

I do all the growing here. Everything. He helps smoke though! LOL! Only thing I don't do is the heavy lifting. I just can't or I hurt, like today.
I also work here, take care of all this, take care of my home, my kid, my animals. My mum.
We have a somewhat fair split of duties here...
He takes care of hard things: motors, building, repairs, (although I am pretty handy!) cement, vehicle, electrical things, etc.
I take care of soft things: plants, animals, kid, people, laundry, cooking, sewing, dust rhinos, etc. Just seems to work this way.
