Housing Inspection?
Where i live i got a "NOTE" from the city saying, "The city , will be conducting inspections of All multi- unit dwellings on a triennial rotating basis. The purpose of the inspections will be to assess the condition of All multi-unit dwellings and determine what repairs may be necessary to bring the dwelling units to a mimimum bylaw standerd.. The MULTI_UNIT DWELLING TASK FORCE is working to inprove the standards of rental housing for residents and u are asked to contact either of task force team members for further info and to arrange an inspection." So if im renting a fairly decent place and theres nothing wrong with it are they still gunna inspect???? I NEED SOME1s HELP ,, im not sure what to doo

Um, I would talk to your landlord to see what is up. Mine were conducted by my landlord, not the city. Don't know what is up with that. I was able to ignore the landlord agents knocking on the door...never demanded me to comply. City...that is puzzling.

okay, so book an appointment, then think about how to do it. Give your self a date, and a plan. How big are your plants? If small, then use some rubbermade totes. If bigger, wrap in grabage bags and take out at night, late. Put all your grows stuff in cardboard boxes, mark them baby clothes, and tape them up. No one will think twice. no way they will look at that. just be discrete, and hide stuff. You have tons of notice. It will only arose suspicion if you avoid it, so do it on YOUR terms, and get it over with.

Pretty sure they will inspect everywhere. They are looking for mould and cracks and damage etc.

No way, and you should be able to be there. They are looking at walls and such, not your stuff. They should not touch your possesions at all. How big are your plants?

They should never be going through any personal belongings of yours. Also, a Landlord, etc. can not enter your apt. without first giving you notice of their intent to enter at least 24 hrs. in advance. (read your lease agreement) What you have is an advisory for the inspections, and not the notice you will receive before they intrude on your privacy.
Personally, I would finish the grow you are on and shut down the grow-op until you know the details of when they will inspect.
ISO (and yep, renting sucks..LOL)

Just putting them inside a rubbermade box with things on top should be fine for a few hours. Just make sure you time it so the "night" period is when they come to inspect and make sure you have room deodorizer going! You do NOT want to have even the remotest smell of your plants there. That is DANGER DANGER! One of those glad things is fine, or a small deoderizer (concentrated one) sprayed right before you let them in will do.

And if they are in the dark they do not need airholes for a brief time. It is also too noticible if there are holes in them. They will be fine for a short time, no problem.

Even gently laid on their side will be fine. I do that all the time taking big plants to plant in the back of our property. no worries, but plan it so it is on YOUR terms. Not thiers.

Change that then gradually, you should have some time to do it. So add an hour or two per day until it is during their night time. It will be fine....just gradually change it. You have time, I am sure even a week will do it fine. One hour a day is 7 hours...easily done.

my city does this too... its more to keep landlords from becoming slum lords than anything else. Chances are you won't have an inspection for months, call and ask them if you can set your own time and date or if they need to do it on a specific day. Most likely they will let you pick the day and time, they don't really care as long as it gets done within three years and they can start over. I would try and set your appt. for about a month after you are expected to harvest. That will give you enough time to clean up, box up equipment, clean, and be "normal" when they get in. The inspection usually only takes a hour or so. They are looking for health hazards like mold, water leaks, structural problems and stuff like that.
