Hi Mike. No please do not use Photobucket as they delete pics on a regular basis and we are left with red crosses! You can upload to the site for free and also your pics are not identifiable as we strip all the exif info from them so they cannot be tracked. Here is an easy program to adjust your pics for our site. The size of allowed pics has increased here so you could possibly use the larger setting on this.
Adjusting your pics with Powertoys
Love to see what is up with your plants so I will be back!
Peace

are you watering them? if so....are you OVER watering them? do they have drainage on the bottom of those cups? these are very young, so one just may be a fast grower than the other. whats your light setup and heat look like? little plants like humidity, i suggest cutting a clear plastic bottle in have and sticking it over the little plants. they will enjoy that, and it lowers the amount of intense light that gets to them. make sure to poke a few holes in there for airflow, maybe take it off them once or twice a day for a few minutes to make sure they are suffocating. other than that keep an eye on them and let us know if there are any new developments! good luck!

maybe early stage of "damping off" - treat with fungicide - don't reuse potting soil! i think this is pythium, a soil /water inhabiting fungus, it naturally occurs from over watering. let the soil dry out. when it dies, if the root just sloughs off an outer skin, it was pythium. only start seedlings in sterilized/pasteurized media.

I think you have washed the protective soil off the new rootlings...and the brown is the skin that forms over the new stem near the roots.. I would add more soil. It looks like they are soo shallow, only the little hairs coming out of the roots are holding them in. You can add more soil, right up to those first round water leaves. To judge if they need watering, fill another same sized pot with dry soil. Then when you go to water, lift both the plant one and the soil one. When they are close to the same wieght, then water them. It looks like they are dry now by the way the soil is pulling from the edges gives me that idea. You should usually water before they do that. You could also get a cheapie watering meter from any garden store or home depot, where ever they have plant stuff. They are about 6 bucks I think. Just probes the soil to see where the watering level is. When you water, concentrate around the edges, avoiding the center where the plant is. This way the roots will have to grow outwards to get the moisture they need.
