Ten rules for safety in a grow show.
After all the landmines of crap I have been working through I feel I am lucky that I haven't hurt myself or worse.
Today I saw someone just about put his hand in a electrically charged ballast box. I caught him just in time. I asked where the covers were and I was told they were thrown away the day the were purchased. WTF...
So how bout it, let make a top ten list of don'ts.
Please edit and prioritize as you see fit.
1. Buy and use only UL listed equipment
2. Make sure all plugs are grounded
3. Keep equipment boxes, panels and junction boxes covered
4. Don't overload cords, power bars or electrical circuits
5. Make sure nothing meltable is on a light or canopy and that something can't fall down on them
6. Make sure all duct work to air cooled lights is securely fastened
7. Smoke detectors and fire extinguishers and more than one
8. Know how and use use electrical power detectors
9. Have a first aid kit and a eye wash kit handy
10. Never leave tools on the top of a ladder.
