Clones are the foundation
I would like to thank Green Passion and members for this information source.
I have always received my clones from a good source. He would like me to carry on the family tradition. We do not live in the same area so 1st hand help is not an option. My first attempt was below average at best. Rockwool soaked in a 6.5 ph solution of R.O. Trinity, Ancient Amber and Hygrozime. This what he said to do. Cut 4 nodes down at a 45%, put into good water to stop air from getting sucked up, root gel, into rock wool and into the dome and a soft light. I had some good starts, I also had a few bad cubes. 16/24 can go to the veg but I only planted 8. I think I should have had a less water in the rockwool cube..
I have Train Wreck & Power Plant, both from the green thumb. My medium is Roots Organic coca fibre that has been fortified into "super soil".Indoor with good climate control. I can give the break down if it would help. I am OK after the clone stage for the most part.. Any suggestions on this situation. I have a mother Train Wreck that is ready for action and would like to do a good job. My first attempt was from a few plants that I deemed "experimental worthy". My Power Plant has been in veg for about a 2 weeks. This is the first try with this strain, my "old family freind" has A+ plants, he is a hydro man and . Any suggestions or thoughts on what one could look forward to?
I thank you & my dog Kuro does too.

High Kuro.. everyone...
I'd suggest asking your 'old family friend'... if he gave you the clones, he must be doing something right... LOL!!!
Let us know what he (or she) says.
I'm doing DRGT Cheese right now and there isn't much out there about DRGT strains... the cheese is very sativa, isn't botherd by 80F heat, has very strong (stiff) stalk/branches and is taking any combination of nutes and ph within reason without any reactions at all..
I do believe that she will stretch to double the height it is started at bloom, as she is very low, wide and compact now in week 3 of bloom.
High Kuro (your dog)... you took your dogs name! Kewe'll.

Welcome to GreenPassion! Glad you posted and said hi to us all. Many fine people here and please, if you need anything, just ask and we will help you out.
Great start and wonderfully informed you are already. I find giving the clones bottom heat makes for higher rooting ratios. I just put an electric heating pad under a cookie sheet and the whole works on top.. i have found clones root better at about 80 to 85 degrees f, but no higher, as you do not want to cook them. So I have the heating pad on low. 80 to 82 is ideal. You can also use a lizard heating pad or the most expensive are the plant heating pads. The last two are also water resistant. I have also tried using rapid rooters (made from coca I beleive) I have never tried the rockwool cubes. I have tried bubbler cloneing as well as soil and the ones I have the best luck with are just plain peat pellets (Jiffy pellets) You have already had a high rate of success for a first time effort. Keep at it and in time you will have higher ratios. I also do not feed clones as they do not have roots to utilize the food and it can burn new roots. Until you see the first new growth, then you can feed very very lightly. maybe 1/8th strength...
You just have to refine what you are doing. There are many many different ways to clone and different tutorials on this on the site. YOU have to find what works best for you, in the end. What works for everyone best, is always different. You do not want them to rot so if you think the cubes where too wet, then trust that. In time you will get it, just keep trying.
Welcome to the family!
Peace

high man, welcome to Green Passion.
if you're still struggling with cloning, check this thread out, and read the
whole thing, ...and it's from the old OverGrow days so you can be sure
it is worth reading.
frankly, i retired my bubble cloner a long time ago and i doubt i'll ever go back.

oh, and if you're putting your clones into a hydro system, the vermiculite
rinses off with ease.

Econo clone
Bozo,
You are definataly not a bozo in my book.
Thank you for the link. I am going to give it a try. Very detailed and alot of feedback, that is very usefull to me and the garden. I don't like Walmart but I belive it may be worth crossing the line. Who has time to search and explore when it can be an easy find. Budleys link should be a manditory read for people like myself who are trying to hone our skills to a respectable level. Not that I belive in a dictatorship or anything like that, it's just good to expand a green brain. I will look forward to much more info from Green Passion and members like Justanotherbozo.
