you need nothing but tap water
you can use a rooting gel or additive but most people don't,you can use SupeThrive also. Some say it helps to speed it up a few days but it's not needed.

Just make sure your ph is right though. And don't foreget to change the water once a week or so.

ive been experimenting with distilled water and .5 oz or a tablespoon of clonex rooting solution per gallon
trust me its much faster with the solution
olivias solution is great too..........no need for gel
just cut at an angle........trim leaves and in the neoprene slot
been cloning aero for about 8 months.........

I Have Great Success With Just Tap Water, 2" Neoprene & Basket, Aero-Bubbler-Ponic-Cloner, Air Temp's 85*f. To 90*f. Humitity As High As You Can Get It, Water Temp Around 75*f., I Run The Water Pump 24/7 For The First 48 To 72 Hours, Light's 18/6, I''ll See Bump's In 3-Day's & Clones And They Will Be Fully Rooted In 5 To 6 Day's With 99.999% Success, And If I Do Loose One It Was My Fault.

i read somewhere a while ago that ph don't matter if you don't have roots yet,so on my last batch i left the ph at 6.8-7 instead of 5.5-6 to see if it matters that much and i didn't really notice a diff...do you noticed that it helps to keep it low or have you always just done it by the book?
I'm still in the air about it and thinking it can't hurt to keep it low because the plant does use water even though it's not rooted.
Any thoughts?

if you keep your ph between 5.5 and 7, you'll not really notice any difference,
it's only outside these norms where you have trouble caused by ph issues.
btw, if you use SuperThrive, be sure you only use 1 drop per gallon,
otherwise, you risk burning your cuts.
frankly though, as has already been said, you don't need anything but tap
water, ...the trick to success is to be sure you keep the res temps above
80 and below 90, ...you do that and you will succeed!
lol, ...btw, i retired my bubbler a few months ago when i discovered the 'ice-tube-tray'
cloning method and now, i doubt i'll ever go back to using the bubbler.

when i first got my aero cloner........i bought 2
one i went with plain water the other was clonex added
plain water took twice as long
maybe its the strain ur growing also
i have some that root in 4 days and others that take awhile
and the top of plants take longer the bottom of plants are much quicker
if u root that fast with plain.........then hats off..........not my experience

succeed.
frankly, i love them (i have 3), first because they are so easy to run, practically
hands free.
second, because they are so cheap, to buy and to run.
third, they take up so little space, i fit 2 inside a 14x11 inch bin filled with 54 cuts, 27 each.
and finally, because they are so reliable, i ran 54 cuts my last run, 12 of
which had been in stasis for over a month, of those 12, only 4 rooted
but, of the other 42 cuts, all 42 rooted. ...and mad roots too, not just
a few little roots.
the real secret to reliable, repeatable results is to keep your res temps
in the low 80's, that's it, no dome, no misting, no additives to the res,
you don't even need rooting hormones (although it does speed things up).
just keep the water level about an inch deep and in the low 80's and you'll
see mad roots in less than 10 days, 15 or so if you don't use any hormone.
it's also a good idea to change the res once a week and to clean the thing
out after each run.
btw, if you read the original thread you'll find that the original idea for this
was posted back in the day at OverGrow by a guy named ooglebird i think.
definitely not my idea although i shamelessly adopt and adapt any idea, from
anyone at any time, lol.

yea i did my own diy thing at first was using the wrong rez container then hatch led me right now i have no leaks i was using the red clone sprayers but i have since moved to a different 360 sprayer with much better results i use clonex die hard there its a few days quicker i run three cloning machines i made myself 35 slots to each the reason i use that is because i take bigger clones my rez temp is around 83 i dont use any lids and no misting and i have run tests using just phed tap around 5.8 5.9 and just clonex and the third i used clonex dip and rapid rooter cloning solution and 100 bucks whew the only difference was days it took to root
phed water cheapest all rooted but took the longest between 10 to 20 days
phed water and clonex with a little nutes around 300ppm 7 to 14 some a little sooner
phed water rapid rooter (from harvest moon) and clonex dippig gel 5 to 10 most expensive so i gave that up lol heres a pic and notice the larger clones they are about 5 to 8 inches in height hope this helps
