seedsman seeds: sugar haze, ata tundra
does anybody know anything or dealt with seedsman seeds before. there are some sugar haze and ata tundra in the ground. also anybody ever dealt with "the medical collection" seed bank. there are some 1046 and 2046 from them that are also in soil.
just wondering because some of the seeds are really small and others are a little bigger but still small. just wondering if the strain just produces small seeds or maybe they sent some small seeds and kept the good ones.
also any input on letting a hermaphrodite grow just for the sake of more free seeds would be helpful. i dont wanna ruin a whole garden just for free seeds. but i would like to isolate one. still not even sure if i'll get a hermie just askin.

on the first part, i have never dealt with them so far, so i have no real clue about them.
on the second, different strains grow different seed sizes as well as the colors differ from strain to strain. In a singel strain the average size and color shouldn't differ all to much or this strain wasn't stabilized, so just an F1 hybrid breed from two parent plants that been both an own strain. There is another thread in this section going on about this subject, so i won't repeat myself on it now.
breeding with a true hermie is always a gamble to begin with as the seeds will most likely turn out as hermies as well - so either pretty useless as the fertilize all everything in our grow leaving you with C grade bud full of seeds that no good either - or plenty of work as you have to clip out every pollen sack that is forming before it can open. Which is a big gamble again as they form fast, ripe in less then a week on a matured plant in full flower and grow deeply hidden in a cola.
In general, if you got this one hermie plant in a grow full of beautiful females kick the thing out of your grow and feed it to the rabbits. It isn't worth the trouble it can cause you.

Yup rip the hermie male pollen sacks could form and ruin your females... Or transplant it miles a way just for the experiment...

ya i guess i should listen to my gut instincts also. its just not worth rishking the quality. it just sucks knowing that every time i want some good seeds i have to go thru that hassle all over again. but i know of three diff times the orders went well.

you could always sacrifice a couple females and do a seed run with em. just make sure you go No Where Near your girls after touching males that are polinating. thats what i'm gonna do.

great info there. was wondering about that. ya im not too educated on the whole breeding deal (F1, F2-F8) so i better wait before i end up with seeds of an unstable strain. i might end up with a half retarded plant. best bet is to pick out my best female and try some clones. but then again im new at that. done some research and read a lil bit. my only thing is that i dont understand how some people keep their plants in veg cycle for 4 and 5 months.

Anytime your light is on a plant 18 hrs or more a day it triggers the plant to remain in a vegetative state. That is how you maintain a mother plant.

True MOST of the time. Depends. Some strains just dont veg the same no matter how long you keep them in veg. You would hear that it is not advisable to do Sativa Indoor but I have a very small closet in which I had a 5' Haze plant. I vegged it a month and a half. It would leave you in a red eyed daydreaming space zone all day long on just a couple one hitters.Yummy lemon taste too.

Generally speaking as a rule that is true, but ya know that Science and Mother Nature are great at defying all the rules sometimes
