What is FireGPG ?

FireGPG is a Firefox extension under MPL which brings an interface to encrypt, decrypt, sign or verify the signature of text in any web page using GnuPG.
Support for Gmail

FireGPG adds some features to the Gmail1 interface to let you use GPG's features directly in your webmail. More webmail applications will probably be supported in the future.
FireGPG is openpgp/mime compliant !

Inline detection

FireGPG is able to detect PGP blocks in any page (for example a public key), and lets you easily manage these different blocks.

API

FireGPG has an API that allows you to design a website that uses GPG's features on the client; for example to autheticate a user for an administration pane.

open source software, you got to love it not too long ago i spend couple hundred bucks for encryption software to secure my emails a bit more and now you get all this for free with even more features for your web browser - all for free, nuts

enigmail works good for thunderbird too

while ur at it, go snatch up pidgin and the pidgin OTR plugin too ( couple other threads in the puter section bout these too)

talk over encrypted IM (aim, yahoo, gmail, myspace chat and tons more - all in one client with no ads kicks ass too )

I'd like to suggest NoScript, prevents java scripts to run without your permission, which is either temp or permanent.

Yeah that's the best. I use adiumx, the mac version of pidgin.
