Hey Everyone.. I was wondering If This 150 watt setup will do Everything needed to get job done as a fair as Flowering and dense Budding.. Its a Small Closet 2 1/2Feet x 4feet and 7feet high.. and I will only have 2-3 Plants Growing under the light at most..
Thanks for all the help as always..

The Sun System® HPS 150 fixture has a built-in ballast to keep it simple to use. The housing has a durable white powder coat finish for years of use. It's also vented to prevent heat build up.
A 150 watt HPS (high pressure sodium) bulb is included! It's color spectrum is great for indoor growing, and it produces a strong 16,000 lumens of light.
The Sun System® HPS 150 has a seven-foot grounded power cord that works with your home's normal 120V electrical outlet. The On / OFF switch is backlit so it's easy to see. Highly reflective aluminum lines the interior of the growlight hood to provide the best possible light reflection onto the garden to maximize your plants' health.
Dimensions:15" Long x 7-1/2" Wide x 4-1/4" High
Covered by Sunlight Supply's 2-year warranty.

I personally wouldn't go with anything smaller than 250W. Does this unit have a switchable ballast(MH for Veg & HPS for flowering). I have one of these in a small closet budding 6 small master kush plants(13")
Pulsar Two-Way HPS/MH Mini Plant Grow Lights by Sunleaves at Home Harvest Garden Supply
and I gotta say...I love her
I wouldn't see any reason that unit couldn't bud a few small girls...but hps isn't all that great for vegative growth.
Anyhow...be well.

I have gotten a 2-3oz/plant with a few cfls and a 150W hps. Needless to say it will take a little longer than with (lets say) a 400W or 600W light

Does anyone think the 150 watt hps would work in a rubbermaid grow box? Its the one that has 2 rubbermaids stacked on top of each other. I know heat will be the main issue but has anyone tried this before?

I had the pleasure of wasting my money on a 150w hps it may be ok for just one but on three it will take forever. my closet is 30"x48
"x9' i put 1000w hps or mh and that made all the difference. Its like having a peice of the sun in my closet. The 150w will probally take an extra few weeks.

I am running a DIY 150 myself. I bought flashing and made the reflector. I bought a ballast and igniter and capacitor from a lighting supply house locally. Got the bulb at the Lowe's along with the socket base light bulb holder thing. My area is much smaller than yours.
I will be purchasing the necessary equipment to put a 250 in my closet next grow. Will put a piece of glass so I can control the cabinet space this summer.
I think I am gonna splurge and buy a better quality ballast, but still use my reflector. Good luck, I also have 4X26 cfl's hanging in the space.
If I remember right I only have 15 cubic feet of air space. 1 X 3 X 5.

good luck
It will work but dont expect giant buds. I using mine on just one know and its way behind the three i have under the 1000w. The three under the 1000w are three weeks younger and they already caught up with the one under the 150 waste of $.
