Foliar Feeding
Do you need to do foliar feedings, and at what stage of the plants vegatative life cycle? What kind of benefits have you guys here seen versus not foliar feeding?

old schoolers have told me it's an invaluable addition to the regular feeding and watering cycle and some of the best "spurts" I've experienced were right after.
of course... the foliage spray and foliage feed. Both feed the plant through the leaves but one refers to plain water for feeding and rinsing (spray) and the other to spraying light nutrient mixed water (feeding). I only bring this up to give a reference to avoid confusion.
I do it all through the veg cycle once or twice a day and stop after to avoid moisture/mold problems that could arrise. feed, spray, spray, feed, spray, spray, etc.
according to what your babies tell you. The idea being to feed and then rinse the leaves later to avoid buildup.
Also... be carefull to adjust your watering schedule if your new to foliar spray, to avoid over-watering. Common sense and a keen eye on your babies should keep you in the clear though.
of course... I'm a n00b here and have no idea what the GP general consensus on this may be.
EDIT: crap... I'm a soil guy with a little hempy bucket experience as my only hydro past, so you should probably forget anything I just said and I'll be sure to look more closely at the location of "New" threads I respond too. my apologies to the hydro crew.

Pepe don't sell yourself short, good post. Foliar feeding should be considered a advanced technique. Plants must be below 80 to absorb foliar spray and spray concentrations need to be exact or you'll burn the leaves.

also remember that foilar feeding during the hottest time of day/your light cycle is bad. the water on the plants can magnify the light and burn them. its best to foliar feed when the lights first come on (or there is low light in the mornings), and right before the lights go off (outdoor evening). this applies to ALL plants you may have in your house windows or outside. if you must water during the day try to keep it on the roots

During the summer time in my outside grow my plants got a shower every night and fed every third shower. They only grew to 13'.
What nutes are you using mr chuckd420? I foilar fed with full strength Schultz nutes. In the beginning of the flower cycle I continued until I got decent bud growth then on it, then through the roots via a soaker hose. Do you know you can hook a schultz sprayer directly to a soaker hose.
