I've read about the Rick Simpson cancer cure. He states that it requires 2 oz.of hemp oil for a 60 day treatment. How much does the 2 oz. of hemp oil cost? I know you can make your own but right now I'm doing well just to keep my plants alive. I don't want another project right now.

it takes aproximately 1 pound of marijuana to make a full treatment of hemp oil. So the cost of the pot plus the solvent for making the oil. Solvents like isopropyl alcohol and butane, or what rick uses, are cheaper, and it is more for Everclear alcohol than for anything else. So figure that out plus add something for the person doing it. I have heard upwards of 2200$ That could be the low side and I am not sure if that is for the full 60grs he suggests. I have heard people paying that and only getting 40grms of oil. I have also heard one chemo treatment can cost upwards of 18,000 dollars. I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Up here in the NW the Lbs go for $3500+ on the street. It's high as hell and sick folks have a hard time coming up with that kind of money so better the reason to grow your own. The process is not difficult and with good ventilation there should be no problems. I use isopropyl alcohol with great results. I don't care much for the naptha and butane methods.

So you really need to make your own? I've never seen a dispensary advertise it either. I've talked to many people about the possibilities of Hemp Oil reducing tumors in cancer patients and I'm always asked where you can buy it. Just thought there might be a company that sells it. Would it be illegal for a non licensed person to possess?

Just like pot, babes...no. It is not legal. It is like hash oil. Still a cannabis product, no matter what it is used for. This is why we fight so hard.

I tried making this once so far. I used crappy leaf, dried it, soaked it in cold water (3h) then, dried it and eventually applied the ISO.
I set it outdoors in the breeze during the daytime and brought it to an enclosed porch for the night. It took almost 3 days to dissipate completely. When it had all dissipated, the goo was rock hard like old taffy but, a thin layer. I scraped what I could then, having only a bottle of whiskey in the house, I applied a few drops and made mud.
Long story short, I believe my problem was made more difficult because the liquid was in a bowl. It was very difficult to scrape so, next time I do it I'll be sure to pour the liquid in to a Pyrex baking dish or such.
I am interested in this end-product but, the use of alcohol and butane scares the hell out of me.
It's just something about, ... residue that leaves a bad taste in my mouth ;>}

I heard that chemical, naptha is a known carcinogen.

You can go to Rick site WWW.Phoenixtears.ca Go to their forum boards. There is a member there named Pupuguru. He makes/sells the oil. I believe his is made from a butane extraction using sugar leaf/trim from medicinal grade MJ. I believe he said its 25 Euros a gram. He says its the same oil sold in his amsterdam shop for 60 euros a gram. If its a life or death emergancy, it helps to know where its available. Maybe I can get Pupu to stop by this thread and fill ya in.

BTW- If you only need enough oil for a topicall application, you can get 2-3 grams of oil extracted from each ounce of high grade MJ Buds. This is enough oil to cure a skin cancer mole, wart, herpes, acne, cold sores, burns, and so on.

18,000 That,s totally unfare to the average person. It's like the expensive health care we are forced to use now, No money no health care or at least not to the extent a well to do person will get. Maybe the cost of the oil will go down when legal, It should, when legal there might be farms just for growing so's to make the much needed oil, It won't matter if rich or poor.

A full treatment of the oil can be purchased for about 1,500 Euros. I dont know the exchange rate in american or canadian $'s so sorry. I think J was saying the Chemo treatment can run up to 18,000 per treatment, not the oil (If thats what u were refering to?) Even 1500 Euros though is too much for the average person to just cough up over night without a medical force behind the product endorsing it? If MJ were legal, it would cost about the price to produce a pound of corn to produce a pound of MJ. How much does it cost to grow a pound of corn? IDK, but I bet the average person could DEF afford it!

The problem in Canada is even with the MMAR exemption I can grow it smoke it but CANNOT convert to oil or hashish. When I read that I fell over. All I can say is too bad Health Canada I will be making mine and taking it so too damn bad!
