Was hydro girl originally a hydro "guy", I think I know who this is but I don't want to name names. If it is who I am thinking of, I can only say, "follow michael's advice"...

Which strains could grow good under LEDs (not any expencive $700+ LED lightning) | It depends on the light. If you spend money, any strain will do. If you get a cheap one, you can maybe grow some lettuce, but not cannabis. They are glorified night lights.

That's a bit of an unfair question. Its like asking what car can I modify to win at races (but not for more than $700 including purchase price of race car)? If you want a plant to, "grow good" under LED, you have to spend a lot of $$ to get the luminosity required. There is no magic combination of strain and cheap LED that offers good results. It doesn't exist.

But the topic was not about the lightning, its about which strains that could give a fair yield, if i would be experimenting with a UFO 90w, maybe add some high intensity LEDs in orange(or other colours), and maybe use some CFLs too..
I know it should be possible with a strain that isnt too bushy and that doesnt needs 5000K+

Cheap LEDs don't flower. No matter what strain you try.
CFLs work much better. 99% of LEDs are a waste of money.

NorCanProhibitionWarrior, you mentioned Lowryder, that's why I didn't offer this b0fin link earlier (these are auto flower by the way): "Autos" LED/CF guide - LED Home Build (Hello friends ! ) Marijuana Growing
Grown with a home brew combo of CFLs and LEDs.
I also found this link: seeking lowryder info

But the meaning of this thread was to gather information about strains that can grow good under LEDs, and to come with some ideas and discuss some methods that might work better when growing under LED light.
Some cannabis plants need less light, and will maybe be happy with the lightwaves from a LED light? What do you think?
Anyone that has tried lowryder strains? Easy Ryder? | I have found that using one 90 watt over 1 or 2 plnts works ,1 being my choice.
Cheese,ak-47, kush, goo --all easy 2 oz per plant for me.
The diesels did weaker 1 1/2 per.
