Hi all,

I'm starting out with my first grow setup and had a question regarding LED lighting arrays over a HID setup.

From what I have read about LED setups success seems a bit hit or miss. Whether they be home made or professionaly manufactured. My reason for wanting to use the LED arrays is due to the reduced heat issues over HID lights. So what I would like to know is, TIA for any response, would a LED array be sufficient to support a moter plant, or mother plants? If so, how many would i be looking to buy?

One of my main concerns about buying LED arrays is the varying costs for similar units. Some of them range from £40, yeah I'm from the UK, to around £300.

Any help guys would be greatly appreciated.
