Rep Power: 500 | | Just a quick pic for now...
I thought I should at least show y'all what the 180 can do. These are Mango x Romulan which were vegged under the older model 90w tri-band UFO and started auto-flowering at about a foot tall. Weird, huh?
The rest of the grow is White Widow, which didn't flower until 12/12, which means they are WAY behind the Mango crosses.
I'm not showing the WW, because they're so stretched and it's not the light's fault. I had WAY too many plants vegging under a 90w light and I didn't wanna buy a new bulb for my old 400w HPS. So, the WW stretched and the Mango crosses bloomed.
Tonight, I'm gonna put them under two different lights, so they can finish nicely, even if they had a weird upbringing.
Oh, by the way, those are 1 gal buckets and I burned them pretty bad with Tiger Bloom, too. They look ok, I guess, considering what a harsh childhood they had.

I tell you guys... these plants look like crap, compared to what they could look like. I didn't do a good job, as a grower. I was too busy and I let things slide and they still look alright. Give these lights to a REAL grower and they will amaze us.

I can't give you a flat number any more than you can tell me how many GPW I might get with a 600w HPS. There are too many variables - the same ones in both cases.
So, I might get 1/2 GPW and you might get 3/4 and some other guy might get 1.5.
I can positively state that most growers buy a lamp and try it. Then, they order 5 - 10 more lights a couple of months later.
Up until now, we have had only one person ask for a refund - after seven days. I'd say he shouldn't have spent the money and needed it to pay his rent or something. No one else has asked for a refund - not one person out of many hundreds of lights sold. Of course, 99% of those guarantees haven't been in force for the full 90 days. But, when a customer with a 90-day guarantee orders five more lights, you can be pretty sure they won't be asking for a refund later.

Potential gram/watt for any light is fairly constant, the only difference is how close each grower, strain and system are able to come. With HID so many grows have been documented that we know a 600 watt HPS has around a 2 gram per watt ceiling (when used either vertically or on a mover), or 1 gram per watt ceiling when used statically in a horizontal position.
Some people may get slightly higher, but not dramatically so. The average grower when starting out will almost certainly yield less, but the potential is still there.
We don't know the potential for LED because it has not been documented enough. I've seen a half a gram per watt at the high end and much less from many more. Is that LED's potential probably not, we need more data.
What we need is all these people with new LED lights to do some grow journals, make LED as well documented (or rather start making) as HID.

We definitely need more data, for sure. I'm especially interested in any kind of direct comparison grows between LED and HPS. I will LOVE to see some master gardeners get hold of these lights and unlock their mysteries. I feel there is a lot of potential that remains untapped simply because the right people don't have these lights yet. But, everything in its time, eh?

Very nice, Michael. Here are two of my budsicles from under my 400w HPS. I have 22 plants under one 400w HPS...mostly like this. I would like to see this happening with the LED.

Hey Mike,
What do think of Tiger Bloom? Would you recommend it to other growers?

Here's a pic from another grower. This was done under a 180.
It's a lower nug finishing up after the initial harvest.
Mine are finished, already. They were strong but I didn't take pics cuz they were burnt to a crisp. It was embarrassing.
Thanks Miracle Grow Perlite!!
