My advice:

Most LEDs are a waste of money. The good ones are expensive. Stick with HID or CFL lighting, unless you want to spend some money.

Well i am currently setting up CFLs' for this go around however i was just thinking that adding in some color spectrum (In addition to CFLs') while in the flower stage it would just enhance production ever so slightly. What im really trying to to is tighten up the buds a little bit. One grow in the past when i was a wee youngin i stole a blue Indandescent light from my dads junk and added it into 3 15w CFLs' i had goin with 4 plants in a 3x4x4 space and the buds i got were very tight and the plant the seeds came from they were very airy and loose.

Im not trying to grow with LEDs' exclusively however i just assume that any color added to the spectrum in wich the plants respond is good..

Here are the lights i was thinking about using...

Par 38 Red LED Flood Light - FSL-PAR-38-R at The Home Depot

That light is almost 40 bucks for 8 watts. That's 5 dollars per watt. This is the equivalent of a $2,000 400watt HPS, except the 400watt HPS is better watt for watt.

$5/watt is more than our lights!

The 180 watt is $700.
