Well, I've played around a little with J-Strip and it works very nicely. It gives a log that shows what has been done to the JPEGS. Here is a sample-----------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the heads up. I knew there was embedded content in JPEG images but I didn't realize it contained global positioning coordinates for devices with GPS or triangulations from cell phone towers. You've confirmed my suspicions. Hmm, I wonder what they plan on doing with this geocoding information, something tells me it's more than flickr.

This would also be good information to share with other sites for security. If we know this stuff, it is our job to share it. I will add this post to the political forum so others can read it. If we know how to disable it then others can as well.
Thanks folks.
Peace

I used the EXIF settings built in to the PhotoPlog Pro program. In fact, all EXIF data should be off now.

Hey MC, don't bother with it as you no longer need it for this site. You might somewhere else though, lovie. Now our site is set to automatically strip exif info from jpegs. THAT is far better than anything done via a hosting site like photobucket etc does NOT do that.
Peace

Rep Power: 500 | | It is a scary thought that some of these new cams & cell phones can imprint GPS location data within a pic. WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE!
LEO could pull your grow location (indoor or outdoor) just by analyzing data from a pic... Then go after it.
Sneaky bastards!!!
