14 states seek to legalize medical marijuana

There’s no time like now to get involved in getting medical marijuana legalized around the United States. Chronic pain is chronic pain, cancer is cancer, and those suffering in Virginia are no different than those suffering in Oregon.

Currently, 14 states are actively working toward some sort of resolution to the atrocity forced upon its sick, injured, and dying. Below is a list of those states, and links to more information on what is being done to improve the lives of the citizens of this country. If your state is on the list, don’t forget to get involved in whatever way you can.

Beyond these states Idaho, Oklahoma, and Maryland have initiatives and/or bills that are being formed, or prepared for introduction in the near future. While there are 13 states with some sort of medical marijuana specific protection (plus Maryland's medical marijuana defense), there are still 19 states doing absolutely nothing to change the threat of prosecution against their sick, severely injured, and dying. If you live in one of these 19 states, please visit the MPP for sample bills that you can help get introduced.

Reading through hb 1393.. one ounce of usable marijuana does not seem like much..

(1) A qualifying patient shall not be subject to arrest,

prosecution or penalty in any manner, or denied any right or

privilege, including, but not limited to, civil penalty or

disciplinary action by a professional licensing board, for

the medical use of marijuana, provided that the patient

possesses a registry identification card and no more than six

marijuana plants and one ounce of usable marijuana.

There are presently 14 states that are legal including New Jersey
What pushed the new ones over the top for legalization now? economy?

I vote on the web site and have got a lot of people to sign the petition.It is post here on the site if anybody would like to down load it and sign it.If it would be legalized here what a environment to grow outside.The time to push is now and do what you can to educate others that have been under the influence of the propaganda of this prohibition.Get in the game and play hard.
