Whats in the way of Legalization?
I was looking at Utube the other day and listening to Obama at that town hall meeting. When he looks at the polls of his own site it showed that people were interested in legalization, he just took it as a joke and said "I wonder what this tells us about our online audience" ? What does that tell us about Obama? That even when a poll tells him what the people are interested in he denies it to our faces.
DAMN and this dude had people writing speaches for him all about CHANGE. I'm thankfull that at least I know that the people damn sure what CHANGE. Enough that it got everyone hyped up on CHANGE.
But it don't look like he's gonna Change what we want (well everything we want) anytime soon. I see that he quickly attends to this flu endemic thats not even an endemic yet stating he is going to spend a million + to take care of this problem. But says himself that he has no care to deal with marijuana and its legalization as he see handling criminal offenses such as murder more important? What he can't handle more than one issue?
I was listening to Ron Paul and he says that Change is not gonna happen through Obama, but threw the hearts and minds of the young people. This generation is paying a little more attention with all the "your vote counts" campaigns. We the people need to make sure this attention does not deminish but grows. 13 states have passed legalizing pot to some degree laws and Obama states he will not use the Federal government to fight the states. This is what we need. We are at the right time for further action. Usually from seeing what occured in the past. When more than 13 states pass laws in a certain direction the other states follow, but it usually takes along time for all states to follow.
We really gota stop hiding the facts that we know and talking each individually to people as we are able or as the conversation allows.
Damn I'm stupid for example. At my job I started to talk about weed, I even mentioned to my boss that I smoked pot (he's kinda open minded, i've come to learn cause other wise i'd been fired by now). It has become a point of him joking with me saying how i'm working and only thinking of going home to smoke lol. But damn I got the word out, now people be kinda open about pot and drinking there. I even gave a speach why the drugs should be legal, mind you I work in a bagel shop so its a bit different for me, but I'm talking.
Thats what we gotta do, read, learn, and when we know what we are saying and confident on our stance talk.
I gota book I'd advise everyone on this site to read if they didn't already. Its a great book writen in 1971 (i think about) called : The Consumers Union Report on Narcotics, Stimulants, Depressants, Inhalants, Hallucinogens &Marijuana -including Caffeine, Nicotine and Alcohol LICIT & ILLICIT DRUGS by Edward M. Brecher and the Editors of Consumer Reports.
I highly and extremely advise all pot heads to read this book.
