Strain name: Lowryder 2
Seed bank/Breeder: The Joint Doctor Lowryder 2
Genetics: Mexican rudalis, Brazilian Santa Maria, Williams wonder
Seeds: medium sized seeds, feminized, look like bag seeds
Created/Grown in: 2009
Grow type: indoor organic soiless promix, worm castings, perlite, kelp, green sand, Liquid Karma, Molasses, Super Thrive, high N and P guano,430 watt hps and 125 cfl , 18/6 light schedule start to finish.
Nutrients: Start them from day one with this strain. I used guano teas EVERY watering after two weeks old. DO NOT overwater, and if I did it again, I'd go straight to 3 or 5 gal pots from sprouts. It's harder to overwater with lots of soil under the sprouts. I use guanos because it is very hard to burn with them.
Start/Weeks in veg: 10 weeks 3-4 days from paper towels to harvest. 8-9 weeks is too soon for this strain. I let them get very ripe, and the trichs were still mostly clear, 50 percent cloudy. Plus, they put on a lot of weight the last week, then suddenly stopped growing. I harvested 4 days apart.
Height: 5 plants, tallest 13 in, shortest 7
Yield: about 8 per plant, 42 grams total from 5 plants. I seriously doubt yields of an oz per plant, UNLESS you have 1000 HPS in hydro, as it's very light dependent.
Characteristics: The high is nice, stoney at first, then mellows to a nice trippy head high, probably a 6-7 on a 10 scale. I've noticed though nice, it's not very long lasting. Buds are very sticky, and getting better each day in jars. Kind of a spicy, piney smell, and most of the descriptions I've read are pretty accurate. A very easy plant to grow with reasonable care. Through some bone meal, or guano in your mix, stick the seeds in the soil, turn on the lights, water, come back in 9 weeks and you have dope.
I gotta bump the rating up to 7.5 and 8. This smoke ages wonderfully, beautiful bouquet of piney sweetness dances on your tongue, and you really cherish that first toke. The high is much better now as well, longer lasting, faster hitting, and just plain higher. Shared some with a fellow conneseiur today, and he too was impressed. I almost enjoy the smoke as much as White Widow, though it's a different high. LR2 has a nice sativa influence going on.
