Default Left 4 Dead

"Fight together...or die alone. A new and highly virulent strain of the rabies virus emerges and spreads through the human population with frightening speed. The pandemic's victims become grotesquely disfigured, wildly violent psychopaths, attacking the uninfected on sight. One of the "lucky" few apparently immune to the sickness, you, unfortunately, are also trapped in a city crawling with thousands of the bloodthirsty Infacted. Together with a handful of fellow Survivors, you must fight your way to safety or die alone. A co-operative multiplayer action game from the makers of "Counter-Strike," Left 4 Dead is built atop the most advanced version of the Source Engine and introduces version 2 of Turtle Rock's artificial intelligence (A.I.) technology. [Turtle Rock Studios]"

this game is the way the resident evil games should have been done. those games were great to a point, but after awhile they just tried too hard to immerse you into the scary world of the umbrella corporation. they went into the politics of it too much, imo.

where they went wrong, valve has went right. you remember valve, the group who brought you half-life and counter-strike, among others, well they have put their ingenious minds to work in the horror genre, and in so doing have created, imo, a masterpiece. of course this game isnt brand new, in fact they have already released the sequel, but i havent been able to demo it yet. that being said, the first one is my new addiction. i have logged about 20 hrs into this game over the last 3 days since my friend loaned it to me. so that can give you an idea of how fun this game is. rest assured, i will be purchasing this title and the sequel asap.

the gameplay is incredible, the zombies are creepy enough to have you focused and into the game. you look in every shadow, around every corner as your own base survival instincts kick in. and the sounds they make are just real enough and subtle enough to have you on edge as you make your way through the bloody mess to the next safe house.

you are a member of a group of survivors, four in total, who are the different characters you can choose to play as. there are some mutant zombies that stray away from the traditional zombie "model", but it is done in a way that adds variety to the game as opposed to mere gimmickry. overall i would say you have to play this game if you enjoy a good 1st person shooter, and you definitely have to buy this game if you are a zombie fan. if this were a movie, it would be 28 Days Later.

Epic Win 10/10

I bought the game because my friend wouldn't shut up about it. I beat it. I hated it. Its seemed very repetitive but it was fun at first. I could see how it would be fun online but that I didn't get to try. I didn't really even want to. I love first person shooters. and I love zombies. but this game I'd give a B-.
Good for thrills and a good weekend of gaming. but probably only that one weekend. for me anyway.

just my 2% of a dollar!
