How to use the panic button


What is the panic button?
The panic button is an option you activate via your user CP(control panel). It allows you to instantly jump to another web page of your choosing.


Why would I want to activate the panic button?
There are a few different reasons, most have to do with privacy. You may be viewing a thread in a location that is not cannabis friendly for example. If someone were to walk up to you or try to see what you are doing, you can click the panic button, jump to a different site and they are non the wiser.
Pretty handy, 'eh?


How do you activate it?
First you navigate to your user CP by clicking on the User CP link in the upper left-hand corner of the site, it's located next to the FAQ link.

Once you are in your user CP, you will see your Settings and Options panel to the left.

1.Click on Edit Options.
The Edit Options panel has 5 areas to choose from. We want the section called Thread Display Options. The 5th option down is where you activate the Panic Button option.

2.After clicking the On button, go to the next option, Panic Button-URL Jump. Here you set the web page your panic button will jump to. You can set this to any page you want, just remember to include http:// at the start of the URL. Such as:

http://www.google.com/

3.After doing this, scroll down and click Save Changes.

Now in each post, in the lower right-hand corner of the post you will see the panic button.
