|  directx Anybody know how to change directx10 back to directx9? I have a new "emachine", (I know, leave me alone about that). It comes with vista home premium, which has directx10, and I can't seem to change it. I can't play my favorite online game, RTCW. Nor, can I play Enemy Territory.

| Pappy, I don't believe that directx is your problem, it is designed to be backwards compatible with other versions. Is the issue only present when you try to play online? Can you play in campaign or mission modes?

| It was just an online issue, but now when it loads, I get sound but the screen is black. I am going to uninstall and reinstall. ET has never worked on this machine. I hate vista.

| Pappy, I just finished a thread about directx for you. I posted it as a thread because I thought others may have some questions about it. Also, troubleshooting is covered as well. :,)
