But if I did.. what would they say about the funny boxes in that locked room?
I would think, no one would be able to keep LEO outta there, you just shot someone.

I'd imagine you'd be guilty of 'everything!' Does anyone know if you have to let them in there?

Here in Texas, you can shoot a robber. You can shoot someone robbing your neihbors house.I personally dont have anything worth taking a life over so no killing for me.My soul cant bear the strain.

I agree, they are there, not supposed to be.. and you do.. for whatever reason (I wouldn't shoot a deer if it got into my home)... so, yes, there are 3 of them, it's dark and in Florida, too, you can/do shoot the robber...

I've got a 12 ga Benelli, once in the chest, get the scum bag outta here. I'm within the law in my state on the grass so I let them in. No hesitation no questions asked. He's gonna do it to someone else and maybe it's a grand mother's house the next time.

i spose the intruder can be dispatched with a noiseless crossbow, and buried in the backyard, if you are in a rural area with a big piece of land.

i don't have a crossbow. nor do i have a bulldozer, which is what i would need to dig a hole out here.

i do have two firearms.

in smallville, texas, with 10 plants growing in the house, and little money for a lawyer, if i shoot an intruder, i am guaranteed an unhappy ending. but I will shoot them, anyways.

had 2 armed men invade my house several years ago . i had no legal reprocussions or loss of sleep. it was in selfdefense.my house was searched and I was thoroughly questioned. as long as your grow is legal and the shooting justified you will be fine.just don't be a victum.when someone enters your home only they know their intentions.call cops, run, shoot .whatever is appropriate to your circumstance. your familys life and yours is more important than any material possesion.

The laws are different on this in each state. In this one, you've got to be in danger if you shoot. If you shoot more than necessary, they might put you in the slammer for murder.
That being said, I'm with Hatch. I really don't want to kill anyone, but I'd sure like them to hurt for a long long time. Those who insist on the "home run shot" have got a good point too. Not all thieves carry weapons, but they don't usually wear a patch saying they're armed and dangerous either. For me, the circumstances would dictate my actions. If I felt I was in danger, I would definitely protect myself.
On the grow room topic, I wonder if leo has a right to go into a locked room if it was locked at the time of the shooting? The fourth ammendment is really pretty strong. The Supremes have made several rulings propping it up for us. Leo has to have reason to be where ever he is. If he has no reason to be there, any evidence he finds will likely be thrown out. I wouldn't argue with leo, however; let an attorney handle it. On the other hand, perhaps you could drag the body outside. Just kidding on that folks, you don't want to mess with a crime scene unless you really know what you're doing.

If someone enters your home with an illegal grow going, once the intruder enters they've washed your grow even if the local black and whites never enters into it.

Even if you fend them off your property an unlawful act has taken place, bringing into it a magnet of heat to your grow.

But then again others would just continue the grow, to much for me too bear with just having my space violated almost a type rape of the human mind and that can be crippling.

no I wasn't growing.I only started using mmj 2 years ago for my medical problems.my present grow is legal. if I had been growing it would have been found ,or anything else illegal for that matter.I had 15 or so leos in my home searching everything.hell they even searched my barn ,my shop ,even my cars.my lawer said once it is a crime scene leo has full authority to search until it is released.bean bags and other deterents are great in there proper place but when facing unknown threats I will use real bullets .I know the badguys will.by the way my nearest neighbor is 1 mile away .i have big dogs/ fences.2 shots from an sks and my dogs were dead,that is what woke me up.the cops said my seclusion is probably why I was chosen.the badguys weren't from the local area.they were illegal aliens .

Just MY opinion but lets find another subject please guy's. We all value our homes and lives but come on shootin and killin and junk? Come on lets get on to somethin alittle more peaceful. No offense but aint there enough of that garbage on the News and in the Papers for us to have to hear about it here as well? If you spend your life worrying about something like that that hasn't happened yet it makes for a pretty miserable life doesn't it?
