Maybe some person should post a DIY "crop protection thread", with multiple options and final results. I have some bamboo I am thinking about sharpening and placing them in leg size holes around the hill side. A trip wire that swings a metal pipe knee level would be a neat trick. I would like to know how to hook up a contraption that sprays wasp & hornet killer on the perp. They say this is better than mace or pepper spray. Several treble hooks hanging at face level, that ought to get a response of pain and discomfort.
Sorry to hear about the meds being lifted. These people are the lowest form of feces. We have tweakers stealing the stink out of s*** on the west coast! May they feel the comforts of a smelling cell mate for the actions OF ILL WILL AND DISRESPECT

Dude I dont think its a good thing to maim or even accidentally kill someone with traps man. We should be civilized enough to be able to deal emotionally with the fact of getting ripped off withouth hurting other people, because its part of the game we play. We should be peaceful. We act with our brains, by hiding better, concealing better, being inventive without use of force.
got it?

You guys that want to trap your crop with the intent of injury have some bad karma brewing if you do it. I know I have thought the same way under anger, wanted to have then step on nail boards and then I would be looking for a limping thief, or razor blades and look for bandaged hands...
WRONG AND STUPID THINKING!!!
One thing we want to be is peaceful in herb. We take risks when we grow in non-medical states way beyond mother nature and her constant changing ways. We risk discovery and thievery and the loss of our crop. But one thing I would NEVER risk is to injure a LEO while he/she is doing their job.
Not saying if I were to come upon the thief in process of stealing my plants, I would most assuredly beat his arse a little and not offer my hand in friendship...
In my state, growing pot without a license is a ticket offense and will get you a fine.
In my state and yours, injuring and maiming a LEO will get you serious jail time...
Guerilla is the way to go, spread your crop out. Don't put all your eggs in one basket and you still may have a yield.
Like I said in another post, I have been robbed, I have been busted for growing and lost some pot but no bad karma was or is coming my way because of my actions or intentions toward the arsehole thieves or LEO.
Keep the plant in the dirt, no traps, just discreet placement and keep your karma cool and hope for the best!!
Peace!!
Pete

Got it? Not really. You sound like a sympathizer to thievery. I don't want to kill anyone. Never have set a trap in my life. I don't hunt and have never killed for pleasure. My life is not a game. Your rationalization sounds like what keeps the thieves, criminals and dictators in action. I am not letting people around my family doing ill will illegal activities. Are you going to let people enter your house? Look what happens in history if one lets another take property without consent.
I am not a trap setter and do not want to kill innocent people. If a person comes into my house in the cover of night without permission they will feel my legal rapid expansion hollow points from my legal pistol. I will not allow a person in my house under the assumption they are only here to steal my herb. How do I know they will not be here for more serious crimes like rape and maybe death to my wife or daughter, maybe myself. I live in the United States of America. We are still able to defend ourselves here in this country. You let people take your world and reduce it to nothing but good the feelings of being robbed, taken or maimed by a career criminal. They will probably not be armed, why not take a chance and find out the hard way. My dog is the best security I have, is this to much for the pacifists in life. He may bite a leg, oh poor thief. I'm so sorry for my dog biting you.
Good luck waiting for the police or ambulance in your state of panic and inability to help defend your family and yourself. At least you have good karma, huh. Thank god I live in a country with an ability to do for oneself. Letting people take advantage of freedom is the same thing the tyranical thugs of the past relied on for easy controll.

yes, not telling someone indeed is a very good idea
problem is
most times
it's an inside job with someone who has sat in your living room and was trusted that gets you
we are legal
we were seeing patients at the same location as our growing
we will never do that again. I agree with you. I tell no one. It's kinda lonley...
