WELL TODAY STARTED OUT NOT TO BAD WE WHERE OUT AT SOME SMALL CROPS AND WE DECIDED TO REMOVE SOME OF THE PLANTS FOR HARVEST AS THE RAINS HAD STARTED BUB MOLD. WELL WE GOT IT ALL CHOPPED AND TRIMMED, WE THEN LEFT IT A SAFE PLACE TO DRY. WE THEN TOOK A LARGE BUD AND STARTED DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WITH THIS BUD[dumb move never transport unless your stash is safely hidden please] THIS TURNED OUT TO FAIRLY SCARY BECAUSE WE GOT PULLED OVER BY A CRUISER,TRUCK AND A SUV SO I STASHED THE BUD AS BEST AS POSSIBLE UNDER THE PRESENT EVENTS. THE RCMP MADE THE DRIVER GET OUT BUT WHERE UNABLE TO FIND A REASON TO SEARCH BUT WE VERY AWARE THAT ARE CAR SMELLED LIKE A COLON BOTTLE HAD BURST. THEY TRIED TO TAKE OUR NAMES BUT THEY HAD NO LEGAL REASON TO SO WE REFUSED AND WITH GREAT LUCK WE WHERE ALOUD TO LEAVE BUT WHERE WERE LUCKY AND EVERYONE SHOULD TAKE BETTER PRECAUTIONS WHEN TRAVELING I JUST GOT LUCK BUT PROBABLY NO NEXT TIME

Ya knowing you rights is a big deal these days.
The big bud would have been to much to eat.
And she said it was for speeding but we called them on it and they did not even know the speed limit in the area. We think that they may be cruising the area around this time off year as it is the start of harvest season.
We hope our grow security is still good but in this area there are only 5 plants left and they might be staying there, we decide later.

first of anytime a cop pulls your for speeding demand to know the speed limit on this road then demand to see the radar gun,your speed is left on the screen until they clear it if they clear it before showing it to you then there is no case.

What are the penalties out there in BC, I thought I was pretty much legal out there

MOST cops don't care if you smoke it but will kick in your door over a grow-op. The actual penalties are really hard to find online. Anyone have a good link or two? Now I'm curious too.

RCMP pulled me over last june, i had a little less than 1/4 ounce stashed really well because i have been caught on the highway by those boys more than once now. so now when they get behind me and run my plates i get pulled over almost everytime just so they can have a sniff, haven't gotten a traffic violation the last three times i've been pulled over.
anywho, the last guy that pulled me over asked if he could look in my trunk and i told him "no, theres absoultly no reason that you pulled me over and theres no reason to look in the trunk." the trunk was empty except a backpack anyway, i was just really sick of being searched by these guys.
so he says "fine, roll up your windows, i have a narcotics dog in the back of my car, were going to walk around your car, and if he indicates anything, i get to search your car." So he gets the dog and starts walking around the car, i ask if i can get out and watch the search, or atleast roll the windows down to hear what he's saying and i'm told absoultly not by the second and third officers that have showen up by this point.
The dog apperently indicated.
so the cops searching my trunk, quickly finds nothing, then asks me to go get my dog out of the car so he can search inside, oh yea, my dog was also losing his **** in the car while the search was going on with me just encouraging him, trying to distract the cop dog.
so he searched inside and right away found a empty glass jar and a grinder. my weed was one of those red bull stash cans with the screw off lid, just under the seat with a couple other cans, i watched him move the cans from under the seat to look under and then he left the car.
i was told that the grinder was deffently what set the dog off and that if i had even smoked in there within the last weekend, it would still have smelled. so with the dog back in the truck and the cops not treatin me like a criminal anymore, i called him on the search,
"i was watching you and your dog going around my car, and i honestly didn't see the dog do anything different, he jumped up where he was told, he didn't bark, what tells you that he smells drugs? And my dog was going crazy the whole time"
the cop told me than the indicator is that the dog sits down, and that hes trained not to react to other dogs or animals. to kinda prove this he gave me my grinder and told me to go stand in the ditch, my dog was onb the leash with me, he lets the narc dog out of the truck and the stupid thing started going crazy barking at my dog. so we put my dog back in the car and i go back to the ditch. The narc dog walks up to me, takes a sniff and sits on my feet, k, so that works, but my 6 month old puppy will sit when i tell him to. all the cop had to do is say "sit" while i had to stay in my car and he now has the right to search.
needless to say the knees were still a little shaky driving away from that situation, and if you've ever been there, is a struggle not to throw up your arms and cheer before you leave their line of site.

SOME HIGHLIGHTS OF THE NEW LAW
SCHEDULE ONE EXPANDED
Schedule I, which already included substances like opiates and cocaine, is expanded to include methamphetamine and GHB.
MINIMUMS FOR MAKING HASH AND GROWING POT
The following minimum penalties will only apply when the hash-making or pot-growing is being done "for trafficking purposes." However, under the law, trafficking includes sharing with friends. So unless you can prove that you were going to use every last gram all by yourself, it will be considered trafficking.
Making hash: 1 year mandatory minimum
Growing 5-200 cannabis plants: 6 months
Growing 201-500 plants: 1 year
Growing 501 or more plants: 2 years
If you live in a rental home, or if there are children in the grow home, or if the judge just deems your garden to be a "potential public safety hazard," then the minimum penalties are lengthened as follows:
Making hash: 18 months
5-200 plants: 9 months
210-500 plants: 18 moths
501+ plants: 3 years
MINIMUMS FOR MAKING OPIUM OR GROWING POPPIES
Producing any amount of a Schedule I substance gets a mandatory minimum of two years. (This includes growing opium poppies and coca plants.)
MINIMUMS FOR SELLING
If a person in jail is caught selling or sharing any Schedule I substance, they get an automatic 2 years added to their sentence.
Anyone caught selling or sharing a Schedule I substance on or near a school grounds would get a 2 year mandatory minimum sentence. This would include a student selling or sharing with another student.
Selling any Schedule I substance "near any public place usually frequented by people under the age of 18" gets a 2 year mandatory sentence. No definition of "near" is given, neither is it defined what exactly is meant by "a public place frequented by people under the age of 18." This vague law could easily cover most of the city and catch many people unawares. Once again, this applies to a youth who shares or sells to another youth.
A second conviction for trafficking in over 3 kilos of marijuana or hash within a ten-year period will get a mandatory 1 year sentence.
MINIMUMS FOR IMPORTING AND EXPORTING
Get caught mailing a few grams across the border? Exporting or importing any amount of marijuana gets a mandatory 1 year in jail.
Exporting or importing up to a a kilo of coca leaf, cocaine, opium or heroin gets a year mandatory imprisonment. Over a kilo gets an automatic 2 years in jail.
