Default Good Afternoon Ladies! (personal drama updates)

I thought I'd go first with the personal drama update. hehe I figured I may not be the only one around who has survived personal drama and maybe in sharing the final outcome of such, we can help each other through similar crisis? Of course men are welcome too so long as everything stays respectful of people's differing feelings. Since this is for after-the-fact reporting, no use in posting shoulda-woulda-coulda information. What happens, happens.

Okay, so anyway, the reason I started this is to report on a couple of areas of interest to some of the regulars here.

Some of you have been praying for me because my daughter stopped talking to me a year ago on July 5th. It's been heartbreaking, especially because I don't know WHY. Anyway, I sent her a message on Twitter to wish her a Happy 4th and told her to tell her husband Happy Birthday too since his birthday was the next day. Like only a couple times before, she answered making similar salutations but she said her husband wanted to take me out to dinner the next day, one year to the date of when she stopped talking to me (one whole year out of my grandson's life). I suggested they come out here for a barbecue instead and they agreed!

We had a wonderful time, I got a cake for the husband's birthday, my grandson calls me grandma poo-poo (shrug... I guess they have been talking $hit about me? hehe) Anyway, I didn't ask what happened. I'm just taking what I can get.

My daughter and I are walking together now every morning before work, which is why I'm on here even less now. But I want to embrace this time with my family. I have missed so much already.

It's been one LONG year. :-)

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and well wishes. I really don't think I'd have gotten through the last 6 months without all of you. Thank you so much! Muah!

Had a wonderful afternoon at my daughter's house yesterday. My SIL changed the oil in my car and gave it a major tuneup. It so needed it and it's MUCH appreciated. :-) My daughter and I went out to coffee and then shopping at Ross. I love that store. (Ross Dress 4 Less) but I like the household stuff best. :-)

I feel like dancing too. :-)

Hope everyone has a wonderful day today. Muah!

I am soooo happy for you. I know the feeling, I was astranged from my large family for 5 yrs. We have been reunited for 1 yr and 3 months. I felt like I was dreaming for the longest time. Look forward to the future and not at the past, but when it comes up the lines of comunication must be open at all times.
Congrates and Enjoy,

Seems I'm not close to being the only one to go through this. I'm just not getting the concept myself. I stopped talking to my mom for about 2-3 months once but she caved. hehe I still don't know what I did but if she doesn't want to tell me what it is, I can't very well avoid it happening again. So I do sort of feel like I'm walking on egg shells.

Here's an unrelated confession, not a request for debate or a cause for me to be further scorned, just a fact... I loved Michael Jackson and I'm crushed by his death. I'm the same age so I can't remember a time that he wasn't doing the soundtrack for my life. A true musical genius.

On that note (pun intended) I have got to get out the door for work. ttyl

Oh, Med You aren't alone in your feelings for him. He was an Awesome person on so many levels. He was only 6yrs older that I and I remember his comercials and I felt like I grew up with him and for some reason his Death has really made me contemplate what life is. I always felt like a spiritual person and I still do, but I think I'm also evolving in my beliefs.

Well here is a personal drama that has recently and slowly started turning into the way it should be. I have four kids, two boys two girls. My kids and I have always been close, it has always been just the five of us so we knew it was up to us to take care of each other. My girls are close in age so they have had each other their whole lives. They had their normal fights as teens but for the most part have gotten along even when disagreeing about something, That is up till a year ago from right now. I have heard the stories of families breaking apart when a parent gets ill or passes away, never could I imagine it would happen to my kids. Last summer I got real sick and had to spend three weeks in the hospital and then a few months of home health care. During my time in the hospital it just so happened that my home was to be sold and all moved out, what a time to have sold my home. All was left for my kids to take care of the paper work, banks, finish packing and getting my stuff in storage. All the kids helped out in their own ways with what time they thought they could give except for one daughter, I'll call #1, who really busted but with everything and making sure all did get done. She was visiting me at the hospital twice a day, working full time and moving me. My other daughter #2 was very helpful too but, there came the day and time for all the kids to really chip in and clear the house out and set me up at daughter #1s home. Even though daughter #2 had been helping out here and there she did cancel on the day everyone was needed most. So the daughters, who was stressed to the max as it was, they exchanged words that hurt both and their relationship changed that day. Both were so hurt but both were also mad, neither one was wrong in their eyes. I was so hurt by all of this, I even blamed myself for not being there when the kids needed me, sounds crazy seeings I was so sick but it is true, I felt responsible for part of my family breaking apart. It has been a long year worrying and wanting the girls to be sisters again. I was so scared, at times, alls I could vision and worry about was me not being here anymore and my kids being lonely because they hadn't had the relationship they once had and should have.

Well things have changed in just the past few days.. On Friday I was cooking for the out door party we were having on Saturday. Daughter #1 went shopping when about three hours later I hear her drive up, and I heard two doors slam shut, giving it no thought I went on with what I was doing. When the door opened there was my two girls together walking towards me. I cry now just thinking of it. We three huged tightly and long. It was one of my happiest moments knowing there was a chance after all for these two woman who truly loved each other. We had a wonderful day and the next day daughter #2 even came back for the party. Things are not back to normal yet, don't think things will ever be as they once were, but, they are on the road to recovery. I will continue to pray that they become close again and do what sisters do........

Remember people,, family is so important, blood is or should be thicker then water. During all that was happening this past year, I told my girls,,, I pray nothing ever happens to either one of you because if it does and you still hadn't talked or told your sister you love her, well girls you will regret your actions or nonactions for the rest of your life.....Give someone a hug and show the love you have for them.....

Best of luck to you and your family Deb. So many times we take our friendships and families for granted. It can all change at the drop of a hat. Great to see that your family has been able to work through it's problems.
Love ya,
Land
