Rep Power: 174 | | funny mortification story!!
this happened to me yesterday and i'm still guffawing over it!!
i went to the supermarket last night with middle son (aged 5) and little girl (aged 3). son annoyed daughter the whole way round the store and i spent the whole time yelling at him to stop.
we got to the checkout and as i was loading the shopping onto the belt ,daughter started wailing again.
without looking round i screamed at the top of my voice(as you do when you're extremely harrased) "FOR GODS SAKE WILL YOU LEAVE HER ALONE!!!"
i turned round to come face to face with a little old lady who said "i'm terribly sorry dear i was just trying to cheer her up?"
OMG!! mortified i was!!! luckily said lady saw the funny side and said i reminded her of the old days when her kids were young!!
tracey xxxx

Oh I can so relate to that!
I remember one time, my son was 3, my daughter a year. So I was carrieing my daughter and holding my son's hand. We go into this store. The manager had just unpacked I don't know how many styrofoam coolers. There where stacks of them, about 10ft high each, all stacked into each other, about 4 stacks of them. We walk by them and my son pushes the first one over.....OH MY GOD! I almost had a cow...I was so embarressed! Every single stack fell over...I just kept walking, in a circle right to the out door...
Then I am walking along the parking lot, giving my son heck, and this older lady says to me "You are so hard on him. I raised 8 kids and never yelled at any of them!" I looked at her and I am sure if I had laser eyes she would of been cremated.
Kids aiy???

This is so funny, Tracey I can just imagine the look on your face when you realized the poor woman was there..lol All kinds of memories while shopping with the kids, but all I can think of at this moment is, as gracefully as I could I would walk back out the door with four kids if any of them was really going overboard with the behavior. I do remember being so afraid to let the kids out of my sight even for a second when shopping or really any public outing, so they didn't get away with too too much.... You do have a way of bringing back memories Tracey...lol TY
