I will be converting my micro cabinet to a veg cab in the near future. As i plan for the future i was always looking into using T5 HO lights. My question is if i were to use this T5 http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct...roductID=49229
would the heat output be less that my 8 26 watt CFL i have? I have about 129CFM of axial fans that keep the heat 5-7 degrees above ambient.
Another thing i wanted to ask is if this T5 will have enought penetration for plants vegging till their 1ft tall?

either will work. CFLs will probably give off more heat. and yes the t5s will have enough light for vegging

ok I'm with the group and I like those lights. I have been looking at the 8 tube 4 footer.

i ended up getting a 2foot four bulb growbright system. I plan on getting another one to have one for a mom/clone area and one for vegg. For the same amount of lumens and wattages equal to the cfls, the temperatures are much less and the radiant heat isn't as strong. Plus i don't have to recycle the bulbs. I would get the six bulb, but for my cabinet plans i can only afford the space a four bulb will give.
